But there are no sales now.

The upgrade feature is good, but that does not help newcomers or ppl whos sub has ran out.

I guess the £39.99 for 4 months of premium is not to bad. £10/month is not to bad.

For the first three years and that's it. Already had this conversation with you before. You need to stop jumping to MS defense for every little thing
Its not for the first 3yrs.

U could of done it for 3yrs and then again, u just have to do the first month for £10.99 instead of £1.

I got 2yrs of GPU for £81 and then when that ended i got another 2yrs for £91

Dude, chill out lol, I'm only replying to your point about introducing a cheap annual subscription option. There already is one. That's it.

And the conversion works after 3 years as well, just $75 instead of $61. The $1 conversion is only valid for the first time you use it, in case you didn't know that before.

official way
Is it though? While they are aware of people doing it and they have not stopped it, that does not make it official. That makes it a loophole that they have not closed off. Either way, good deal but it is not fair for people to compare a loophole to advertised/retail pricing.

Upgraded to Premium, 3 months + 1 week left on my sub, only cost $18 to upgrade which is cool. Been revisiting some of my faves with Ape Escape and Jak II but it's really Medieval (remake) that has me hooked. One of those rare "cult classics" that I somehow missed back in the day, remake is gorgeous and just what I was looking for, reading some of the reviews for it is baffling, apparently the game is *too hard* for some of these gaming journos.

It's a great service that will only improve over time but PlayStation would do well to not ape the game pass model with day and date big releases (as they've said they wouldn't). MS can afford to burn $$$ but the industry as a whole can't sustain something like that. Big, tentpole titles matter and the devs need those sales. Indies too of course though depending on what deals they cut with these services it might be more beneficial.

It's not a loophole, it's officially advertised on their website. Using VPN to get cheaper Gold, that's definitely a loop hole. But the conversion is as legitimate as it gets.

Anyway, that's probably enough off-topic on this subject from me.

Can I buy a one year sub of GPU from the Xbox store. Yes or no.

And no. I've already used up the three years conversion and it doesn't work anymore

You can't buy more than 1 month of sub from xbox.com with 2 months bonus added to it as a new customer.

But you can buy Gold from Amazon and New Egg to do the cheap conversion, which is what I'm talking about.

And no. I've already used up the three years conversion and it doesn't work anymore

Well then you're doing something wrong. The conversion definitely works even after you use it for 3 years and it lapses. The only difference is that instead of $1 for the conversion, you'll pay equivalent of 1 month GPU ($15) for the same conversion.

The only case where it won't work is if you have an active GP sub going on, in that case you get a pro-rated conversion. You need to let it lapse to get the full one.

Why are some of you talking about Gamepass in this PS+ thread?
You need to stop warring. Just enjoy cheap gaming while it’s here. I’m set until 2024 at $5/month through stacking. Just started downloading Returnal, Miles Morales. This is awesome!

I think you went a little too overboard there but I guess it is nice knowing that it will pass on future generations.

aaand we're live on Planet Polska.

BIg surprise - instead of the 3rd world gimped "deluxe edition" it is the full premium! I just streamed some PS3 castlevania.

This is big because we've never had PS Now here. I don't remember Sony announcing they are broadening access to cloud streaming worldwide with the new plus.

Also, the Video Pass (PS+ netflix like movie streaming app) is still in, unchanged and getting content updates.

Out in the UK

Trials are garbage as expected.

Wtf is with the "classics" ? They've locked the Mafia remake behind premium but you only need extra to play the farcry 3 remaster

Makes no fucking sense. Will TLOU remake be locked behind premium too whenever that hits the service? Demon's souls isn't i guess but the consistency is laughable

So the total cost is similar.

I would of thought they would of done 50% off for the first 3months or something.
It sounds like you want Jim Ryan to come and wine and dine you as well. I admit the service is not for me right now, but I could upgrade to extra for about £70 for two years which in my eyes is great value, I haven’t played miles morales or returnal yet so that would cover the cost of those games more or less.

I upgraded for 23€ until 02/2023.

Fine price for the offer. I don't think the comparison to GamePass prices are fair, on PC I just paid 1€ for 3 months for like the sixth time. That's just not realistic, nobody can compete with Microsoft money.

If they want to be uncompetitive with pricing, its no problem for me. I will just get it less, there loss.

But wine and dinner with Jim Ryan sounds delightful.

Well, it's here and I'm, well, whelmed.

It's OK, but bar a few big names (GOT, Dark Souls, Miles Moreles) it's just Now and Plus mashed together as far as I can see. I'm on Premium until May next year, so be interesting to see what comes of it over the next 6 months. Its Good, just not groundbreaking. Not sure what I was really expecting, but there is just no "WOW, this will change PS gaming forever!" Maybe I was naive about the amount of, what I would class, AA titles?

Do you mean you "own" them on PS+? You do realise that you don't actually own them and if you ever end your subscription you can no longer play them right?

No, i meant if i choose to own those games the total cost to own them or buy them is US$302. I brought 1 year of extra for $84.5 of course i will not own those games but still will play them, enjoy them and saved US$217.5. Read my other post below the one you quoted. I'm talking about Death Standing, Ghost of Tsushima, Returnal, Miles Morales anf Demon Soul.

The PS1 games look on my tv better than I expected. I thought that their CRT filter was going to be worse. I downloaded also Guardians of the Galaxy and got surprised by the visuals, story and OST. The first impression is that the game is great but combat and enemy (at least the ones of the first hour aprox) design are weak. But I liked the game, will play more tonight.

Is the service out in the Middle East?
Seems that in addition to in Europe today it has been also released in Australia. Quite often they group them also with Middle East so I'd bet yes.

I've only check out Tekken 2 & Resident Evil DC
these are not the PAL versions.
In Spain Syphon Filter has the Spanish dubs it had the Spanish version of the game so I assume it's the PAL version. But not sure if they implemented the weird 60Hz patch (I'm not Digital Foundry, I have no idea if it's 50Hz or 60Hz).

If they are a casual gamer and they pick one system, which is often the case. Not all buyers are like us game crazy people on here.
Or they don't have time to play both.
Casuals usually main Sony and Nintendo devices.
Xbox is aiming for them but is arguably more suited for hardcore gamers.

Getting Extra (fuck 50fps@60hz), first games I download will be Returnal and Outer Wilds.

Edit: Oh, and Gravity Rush 2. Loved the original (remaster), but never picked up the sequel.

It's the upgrade price that makes it worth it for me ATM. I share the same sentiments as you on sub services. Not sure if I'll continue. But Returnal and Demon Souls makes it worth it for me right now. I'll try death stranding too something I never would have bought.

But you're right, time will tell on these services. I ha e my doubts about quality going forward.
fuck it, caved and upgraded to premium for £100 for near 800 days, was too good to turn down, I have so much to play now that I will probably not need to purchase a game until well in to 2023

I’m curious to see how well all these coveted first party exclusives will sell now when people are neck deep in all this going forward.

So is there an upgrade trick for us UK ps5 owners? I have ps plus until November next year, just wondering of there's any game pass style tricks I can pull to turn this into premium for cheap?

I'm interested to see how many Premium subs Sony gets out of this.

PS Premium isnt much different than PS+ and PS Now comboed together. The key difference is Premium has game trials, the legacy games changed and Sony is promoting PS5 games with it as PS Now never had any. Pretty sure PS5 games would had come to PS Now if that service was still around.

The price is the same the old way vs. Premium, but with Premium gamers are forced to buy the total package vs. one or the other.

Can anybody tell me whether if you played a game via disc and then download the PS Plus version, will it appear as two separate entries on 'recently played?' on the PS5.

Anyone else think it's strange that Doom is available on the service? considering it's owned by Microsoft now and available on gamepass

I know fallout 4 was available with the PS+ Collection when the PS5 released but Doom is a new addition

I don't think so with cod staying on PlayStation.

Once all the contracts are over, 99.9% chance you only see warzone on playstation. Ms is saying all the right things until approval is finalized, but they didn't buy Activision for that kind of money just to add them to gamepass.
