So? Their market in retail is kinda dead but if there is a MS published or exclusive game that you really want to play you still need something more than only a PS5, unless it’s one of the few ported games. That’s just how it is. No point claiming otherwise.

Many disagree but personally I agree with your statement. Games matter the most. The reason why Sony was able to come back during ps3 days and win the ps4 gen so handily is because of them having excellent exclusives. Ps5 is repeating the benefit of the groundwork laid during ps3 and ps4 gen.

Xbox has been struggling due to not having system seller exclusives, them bringing their games to pc and now ps5 is just laying the foundation for their decline.

Personally, I feel that Sony has to be careful as well about brining their games to pc and overall relaxing on exclusives. Just like ps3 and Xbox currently, their situation can change anytime.

This would be happening even if Xbox games wasn't coming to PS5 the biggest difference would be the games completely flopping with no way of making the money back.

So, doesn't look like CoD on GPU has done much to turn around console sales. So I wonder what its done for subs. Maybe move to higher tiers for existing and new growth PC side? I know I'm permanently out once my British telecoms freebie ends summer next year.

Probably not much. GP relies on the console to really grow. PC gamers will hop in and out of GP because they prefer Steam overall. This was never a move meant to increase console sales though that ship has sailed. MS isn't even trying to compete in that space anymore. It was to get more GP subs but we already know sub services just aren't growing the way they used to and people are tired of paying for everything monthly.

I’d want that $75 off or 50 off and a few games. I saw lots of series s deals but very few god series x deais other than the Best Buy one.

this selling less units than one of the PS5s skus is hilarious to me, specially in november and just one month after COD debuted. People really don't want to stay on gamepass for long. No matter how much they want this to be the netflix of gaming...it will never get there.

It may seem that way but it was over for Xbox Series way before that & I knew they was back in the Xbox OG situation when Phil started talking about the $200 hit they were taking on Series consoles all while PlayStation was going for the kill with the increased supply.

Xbox did not want to sell Series X & when the Series S sales slowed down it was a grim situation.
