The difference is Kingdom Come 2 doesn't star a real life historical figure, and neither did any AC game before Shadows. Ubisoft were so eager to virtue signal that they broke that tradition and built their whole game around Yasuke. If all the effort modern devs put into pushing politcal agendas into their games was spent on the actual game, Western studios would not be collapsing like dominos right now. Just look at the PS3 and PS4 generation, Western devs were on top and with good reason, but now even the top studios like all the PS Studios are churning out sequels that are worse than their originals.
