it depends, how important to the story is her sexuality ? its there just to show gay stuff or it has a purpose ? i think you know the answer.
That's exactly the beauty of it. If it's important to you, you'll do the segment, if not, there's no reason for you to do it, but it will mean something to somebody else.

Its optional.

Goddamn have we all turned into fucking pussies? Cant handle an optional gay relationship in a fucking rpg?

We really have become pathetic of thats the case.

Holy.moly.
I can handle gay relationships just fine. That's not the point. I played Baldur's Gate 3...no issue. It's how it's depicted in this game that bothers me.

I will never choose those options so I wont ever see it.
Ok that's fine, that's you. I did the same thing in Baldur's Gate 3. It's interesting that you wanna call people in general pussies without even trying to understand their point. If you want I'll offer it.

Ubisoft hasn't written anything decent relating to romance in any of their games, why would I start expecting them to now?

It's so fucking wild seeing people make rage videos and tweets about something being completely optional and under the PLAYERS agency.

This isn't a fixed linear narrative decision the game imposes on you either. People have to actively choose the quote unquote gay dialogue options to get that scene, and then they become upset by it.

I keep getting flashbacks to this moment in time with Mass Effect.

Ghost of tsushima makes the same claim while having elements that are wildly wrong and fantastical like characters using swords that didn't exist are adhearing codes of conducts that dont appear for another 200 years or so.
Being historically based and respecting the history does not bmean adhearing to it anywhere close to 100%

I think, regardless of cultural or political contexts, a lot of people have hit the breaking point of a certain worldview being put in their face and told they have to accept it; and not even accept it, that it’s objectively the superior way to move through life. I think some innocuous shit gets wrapped up in it and it gets swirled around.

If people are bothered by a game mentioning that gays should be accepted and it's right to accept them then..
maybe they shouldnt be playing games.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Look at every creative choice they've made with this game. Of COURSE they're gonna have dudekissing in there.

The lesbo attack posted earlier was pretty funny.

I think if your only take away from my opinion was to assume it was about sexual preference/gay people then you’ve missed the entire point of it.

Didn't feel like going through all the political "issues" people have with games these days but don't worry the same opinion goes for pretty much all of em.
