The game isn't just playable on PC, it's insanely awesome. After 36 hours I'd rate it maybe 95/100, haven't had any issues so far. And I have only scratched the surface, it is definitely one of the most enjoyable games I've played in like 15 years.

At least now you know that your next gen console isn't really "next gen" just because it can load games faster. Most games are full of bland walls/environments and have 0 to no bodies on-screen. Cyberpunk looks and sounds alive - and just cos consoles can't hack it, it's suddenly a shit game.

I mean, I'm playing on PC and though I've had more than a week to try it out I'd say at least 9/10, like I'm only not giving it a 10/10 on principle over issues like the police stuff but it isn't why I'm playing the game.

I'm on PC and the game is the most fun I've had in a long time. Night City is legit bustling, tons of traffic, interesting NPC's (I just watched 2 random passing NPC's battle it out because one shorted the other a bag) and the freaking architecture and variance between the boroughs is awesome. Took me a little to get into it (mid ACT 1) but even though the console version sucked, the game as it on PC is glorious. It should only get better as well. Console bretheren, I am sorry it's so bad for you but rest assured, the game is phenomenal, just will take some time for you.

The company gamed the usually complicit hands-on/early preview/review system to drive pre-order and even forced the footage reviewers could show (they knew how digital console refunds work too so that was doubly irresponsible... “not my problem” philosophy).

Ive played through the game twice now on PC and XSX and didnt incounter any major bugs. It's a good game not great but its far from completely broken on those two platforms at least.

Yes, it is us that is the problem. The game is fine, if people believe that the current generation consoles versions were fine they were dumb and it is their fault, poor CDPR... millions of happy player and few loud voices asking for refunds, a conspiracy against a publisher which clearly tried their best and did nothing shady at all. Forcing reviewers to only show the footage they wanted players to see and ask no questions about the base console versions, yeah totally non shady.

Its fine on the PC. CDPR's mistake was trying to have a simultaneous launch on all consoles when they should have released the console version a couple years later and only on next-gen platforms.

Its an ambitious new IP and that brings with it a number of problems on its own without adding 4 older console platforms to optimize.

I still haven't played It. Just watched videos online.

I believe when people say it's a masterpiece on adequate hardware.

However, 2 things: CDPR was scummy as fuck in several ways, that's a fact.

Comparing It to TLOU2 is bullshit. I'm not a fan of TLOU at all but the level of quality in Naughty Dog's games in terms of how the game works and all is undeniably good. They craft their stuff very well and it's a fact. Love It or hate It. I'll never buy into the whole GOTY or GOTG mumbo jumbo but the product is well done and that's a fact.

I'm sure Cyberpunk is really good but people have to recognize CDPR handled It poorly. And fuck reviewers.

Pretty much. Anyone who followed game and ratings saw this already big time the past 15 years as review scores all skewed to that magical 6-10 scale.

And amazing how none of them ever have the balls to tell gamers that they are even under an NDA. They don't even have to tell the details. Just say you have an agreement, just like many Youtubers over the last few years who start their video saying they worked aith Activision and got an early copy or got flown the head office to check it out.

You never see this shit from websites. Only Youtubers seem to have the balls and honesty to say stuff in a down to earth manner.

It takes someone from Wired magazine to get the dirt, as all the corporate site employees shut their mouths.

(Granted, probably most of those footage disclosures were because the journalists were pissed they couldn't provide anything exclusive/produced to capitalize on the demand, and they wanted to head off the downvotes. It wasn't that they were, or could have been, batsignaling a warning that the console versions they had not yet played maybe might be fucked. )
