Nah...KCD does their own unique thing. A realistic medieval sim RPG. No magic, no dragons, no monsters. I really cant compare KCD to anything else. There just isnt anything...which is great for a game!

I agree. I think their only safe bets right now are Gears E-Day and Doom Dark Ages.I’ll be the first to say it: Fable is shaping up to play the same dead tune as Microsoft’s other mediocre AAA titles. That's where my expectations are right now.
Edit: I have faith in Perfect Dark too but it’s had a troubled development

Obsidian did kotor 2, and some devs were from troika if I'm not mistaken (arcanum/bloodlines 2). They also did Neverwinter Nights 2 a full party new 3d engine D&D game. They did alpha protocol, a spy thriller rpg that was the opposite of woke and filled with choice. Pillars of Eternity, was also great. Same with Tyranny. They started going downhill after hiring a ton of woke chicks and firing Chris Avellone after being accused of sexual abuse (not sleeping with 2 ladies at a convention so they made a story up where he won a 6 figure lawsuit. Even so obsidian wouldn't take him back).

If you think that Microsoft are releasing their premier games onto other platforms because Game Pass can’t support them, rather than it simply not making any logistical nor financial sense to have projects that cost $300 million+ to make tied down to one platform, then… Next gen is going to very interesting for a lot of you lol.

That's more or less where I'm at now. I'm optimistic for Fable, but I'm not getting my hopes up. It's amazing how almost nothing has been a "must buy" for me from Microsoft for so long. Doom is the only one I expect to be great, but there's not even timed exclusivity there. Just multiplat to start.

I p*****d it day 0 and it's pretty good. I've put in some 15h so far and combat gets better with upgrades, story is alright, but world is nice to explore and way you can mix up one hand weapons, like having spell book in one and fucking gun, sword, wand etc in another is exciting, reminds of Skyrim, that's about the only aspect there.
Also don't have newer screenshot to show it, but get redheads to get actually colorful game

It is not about women it is about terrible story, terrible characters and terrible gameplay. Ugly women is just an indicator all of that will be present.
PROTIP: seek out women in real life. Videogame women aren’t a substitute.
Take for example Dragon Age Vielguard. Characters there just unsufferable. They behave not like humans. Story is as afwull. And gameplays lacks any depth any variety. And why is that happened? Because the team behind this game was more concerned about inserting their politics more than making a really good game.
So if I see a DIE character, I immediately think of DA V, Avowed and assume that if the DIE team is behind this game, then it will have all of that (terrible gameplay, terrible story, terrible characters) in it.
You so badly want to devaluate my opinion by framing me as clown but in the end it is you will get an awfull game, not only me.

People really begging for gears of war, MGS 4, gritty, real, brown games again.
I didn't like the era when everything was drab. Even some N games got brown and dank looking. Terrible.
But the style of today's "normal games" can get kinda gaudy and ugly with their color palettes so it's obvious why people are asking for this. I think it just reached oversaturation (heh) and the trend is swinging like fashion.
I thought BOTW was too bright and had no moodiness anywhere. Twilight Princess was too dark dank and ugly. OOT knew when to be both. I want to return to that. Sure TOTK added caves but that's just an overly dark expanse of nothing. The Royal Family Tomb and Under the Well were more valuable additions. There are no dungeons to create contrasts against the bright world which even a Game Boy remake can deliver...

So I think the timing of this game...with the election and all and the backlash from Veilguard really kinda coerced the devs to make put some bandaids on what would have been a superbly woke game. Examples like giving the option to not include pronouns...which I appreciate. I'm not too far into the game, so I'm not sure how pervasive the game is in terms of wokeness. The interactable npc talking about her girlfriend when she has literally nothing to do with the game's story feels like another bandaid. It's like yea she's there, but hey...a lotta folks might just miss this person altogether.
I'm not racist ok...I'm black. But even I notice this game is like 90% minority npcs. My character is black so I'm not really complaining as much as just making an observation. It feels intentional. Which is not the way I imagined representation in video games would go. I think Spiderman did a better job honestly.

To be fair there are few publishers/studios where you can probably trust what they show you. The only ones I would probably trust to buy day 1 are From Software, Sony (mostly Naughty Dog, Insomniac,) Rockstar & Nintendo (core franchises).
Xbox as a whole have no consistent quality development culture, they are a random collection of studios with varying pedigree so maybe you can trust the odd studio (id is probably the only I think of as near that level) more than others, but they have a long way to go before people will trust the whole brand to be a sign of quality.

So, I’m playing The Elder Scrolls 6 right now (yes, this is future me), and while it's amazing, there’s one thing that bugs me. They wanted Sentinel to feel massive, but to pull it off, they took some serious shortcuts.

They just vanish into thin air if they move too far or if combat breaks out. You’ll see NPCs sprinting away, only to disappear over time like they never existed. And the best part? Some get stuck in an infinite running animation, smacking into walls and objects until, poof, they’re gone.
