There should be two warnings with appeals beforehand the ban. So, they don’t ban the game being on their system but using the photo mode they implemented. Funny how that works. I would consult with the lawyer.

People like you who challenge the assertions of others are my problem. On a daily basis I see the exact thing that OP is talking about. My job has software that does the type of stuff OP is commenting on. There are broken and redundant systems made by braindead people because they don't think about the consequences of their software implementations. They also don't use the software like end users do. Then the software shits the bed and even breaks things it is designed to handle and fix. But this topic has plenty of people saying "This didn't happen" and "There's more to this." I've seen enough in life to say that it is absolutely possible based on how clueless corpos and people in charge implement broken ideas that do more harm than good in favor of the virtue and safety they are trying to maintain. That's the ignorance I am commenting on. I am not surprised by it so perhaps astonishing was the wrong word, but it is tiresome and of note at this point. It is crazy how stunted the world can be intellectually.

Then there are the money comments. People made remarks about how much OP has spent on games. It's OP's money and they can spend it however they like. It is irrelevant to the conversation beyond the legal consequences of spending that much money and then a company just nukes those purchases.

So my problem is making my comment and having people challenge my thoughts on something, then trying to turn it around when I reply. You challenged my thoughts. I will reply as needed. Own that and deal with it.

How in the ever loving fuck is anyone supposed to infer all of that from a vague reference to “ignorance”? Of course people will question that, you came in with the superior attitude but didn’t back it up.

If anything it shows your ignorance if you think there hasn’t been plenty of cases where people have claimed innocence but have been less than forthcoming with information. You’ve got someone that comes in, makes lofty claims, and then starts being inconsistent (note the random copy posted post with no context that is completely different in writing style). People would be absolute fools to take that at face value.

As for how people spend their money, you’re free to spend all of your money on Coca Cola and only drink that if you like but eventually someone is going to tell you it’s unhealthy. At a certain point it’s people showing the basest amount of concern. So when someone claims an account value so high that people don’t even think it’s possible, what do you expect?

It’s still absurd because Sony and Microsoft content regulate the stores. Every game also goes through regional content ratings. If someone is banned for sharing a screenshot of a game distributed on those stores, it’s not only a failure on part of the individual who shared it (if it violates terms of service), but also the distributors. Sony can’t accuse OP of failing to comply with the code of conduct, when they’re enabling it. It’s like saying don’t share these drugs, but you can buy them from me. Lmao.

It looks like there is an obvious overlap in how Sony/Microsoft seem to moderate their service users and the content they distribute on the service.

I'd get that ban overturned. I wouldn't settle for less.

Sorry to hear about that I’m Nobody. Hope it gets sorted out. I think something like this situation actually does exist though. On XBox there is a cool looking comic book style game called Lux Obscura that has naked women in it I heard. Seems like half of the reviews on the XBox online store complained about their accounts being banned or suspended because apparently Microsoft did not approve of the scantily clad photos people were taking.

My question is, why even sell games like this in the first place if you can get banned for something simple as a picture? A picture can even happen by accident by pressing the wrong button. It’s almost like entrapment imo.

That is because your writing changed dramatically from one post to another. You cannot blame others for pointing that out and wondering why. Other than that, to me, this is the most genuine post from you on this, but it took 10 pages of scrutiny to get here. The internet is a suspicious place due to its anonymous nature so people are going to look sideways at what others say. You still have some unanswered questions such as why your writing changed and what "none disc classics" are when talking about games you didn't pay for. That is all part of the "situation" from my point of view.

Either way, I hope you make some headway with your case now that your lawyer is involved.

Just a heads up, ive never heard of an actual ban on the account due to uploading more spicy pics. Ive know 1 player (from discord sharing nsfw shots), and he said he got hit but it was purely temp suspension of all COMMUNICATION stuff.

So he couldnt talk to anyone, send messages, upload, etc. for 2 weeks. Losing access to your entire account? I dunno.......

I wish the OP well. And it will be great to hear the final outcome. I also recgonise that the way corporates act with regards digital content can be awful. I've had to fight tooth and nail to get a simple refund on multiple occasions.

However, I think we all need to be careful on deciding how accurate everything is here. My first instinct was to disable auto uploads. But then I realised my auto uploads look different from the pic taken. And as the account has been disabled and I assume offensive content removed. How are we able to see a pic of the offending images? Unless they've been shared? And so if they have been shared then that changes the dynamic at least on whether we all need to be nervous around auto uploads of pics. I dont think we do.
