Believe me, a new Sega console would repeat all the same mistakes Saturn and Dreamcast.

Stop bull shitting . SEGA didn't even spend $500 million developing and marketing the Dreamcast
How much is Sega spending to evangelize Dreamcast to developers and consumers?

SI:
Roughly, worldwide, $500 million. For the development of the hardware, it's cost $50 to $80 million. For the software development, $150 to $200 million, and for the marketing in each territory we will spend $100 million. That's huge numbers. When I was involved in the auto industry, it cost about $200 million to design the engine, chassis everything. For the tools and dies it cost $200 million, and to launch a new car it costs $200 million. So that means $600 million, the same as to launch this tiny machine! I don't understand... [laughs]

Why you're using DC figures is beyond me , but if you want to put into context. Sony spent over $500 million dollars before the PS1 launced
I'm using Dreamcast because it is a console with budget that are almost completely known by the community and Sega Saturn cost significantly more than the Dreamcast, Sega Saturn was the most expensive project in Sega's history but if we update inflation we will see that the Super Game has similar values to the Dreamcast.

Where you found that $350 million number is a mystery because the executive was very clear that the worldwide release cost around $500 million
TA unfortunately you have little knowledge about console development.

Development of the Saturn didn't cost more than the Dreamcast.

And Sony spent $500 developing the PS vs the $50 million SEGA spent developing the Dreamcast, which the most SEGA ever spent on developing it console hardware.

SEGA spent 350 million developing and marketing the DC . You need to bring in software to get it close to $500 .

And if you think SEGA spent anything close to $350 million developing and marketing the Saturn you're deeply mistaken.
