I'm done belabouring the point, but it's a real shame for From's fantastic artists to be held back by the technical side of things.

Miyazaki said in interviews that the world is one big seamless world. The hub is just a separate place you warp to and from to do certain things... probably level up, etc.

I don't think its much of a hub world as you have a location to return to for selling/leveling but when you return there is only one location. I didn't see other stones for him to warp from and the one he did looked like creates a list of "bonfire" locations.

Was never bothered by the hub style in dark souls 2. It's one of many awesome throwbacks to demon's souls and each area was still nicely interconnected with some really clever shortcuts that made me go 'aha'. Still, I did love Dark Soul's amazing world.

The thing is we have no idea how old the build IGN played is and where FROM is at now. It's pointless to complain when it clearly stated it's an old build.

They might have improved things already depending on how old this build is. It could be quite dated for all we know.

That hub area definitely looks to have some pathways leading away from it. I wouldn't jump to that kind of conclusion yet.

Yharnham is definitely just a big open world, they've said that elsewhere.

I get that, but until we have video of the final build, this is what we have to go off of. I don't think people should be silent until a game comes out to voice their concerns. Before release is the best time to speak up about these things.

Also I would buy this game even if it looked like a PS2 game, I just wouldn't be very happy about it and would probably bitch a lot more than I am now. Just saying. As disappointed as I am in my PS4, I still play video games. But it doesn't feel on the same level as upgrading from PS1 to PS2 or even PS2 to PS3 to me =/.

I guess the conclusion is that is you enjoyed the "Souls" games you will be in for a good time

If you didn't enjoy the "souls" game this won't change your opinion of the series of games.

Looking at the selling/buying scene, it looks like its going back to the max carrying capacity. It shows a "Number Held 0/20" and "Stored 0/99" on the player.

Healing
is instant when using blood vials but never fills the players health. possible upgrade? + system? or larger vials?

Couple of concerns though, lighting and shadow model are based off a global source it looks like. Ine one scene player walks past a large fire and shadow isn't affected. There is a LOT of clipping in the game. I see weapons and characters sink into the group and the players hands go through the door when opening.

I know its an early build and these are minor but I hope they are fixed.

BTW what source did you guys watch from? I noticed the YT version has less aliasing than the IGN.

It's basically that way for everybody. Diminishing returns and all.

Plus give it some freakin' time, early PS3 games are not the greatest looking these days.

Did you find the jump to the XBO from 360 to be balls out amazing?

Whenever this is posted for a game after complaints about graphics, has their actually been a case in video game history where the game turned out to be far, far better looking than the early footage showed?

I have no doubt whatsoever that this is going to be GOAT. I'm concerned about the health system, though: there's a reason From switched from farmable to limited but self-replenishing health items with Dark 1, I question the wisdom of going back to the Demon's Souls system.
