I think it might be.

Should I get this game? I'm a big devil may cry guy. Would this fit that genre?

More so then the Souls games, this is more action and speed paced. You might give it a try.

Is there a confirmed patch incoming for the loading times? Everything I've seen just says game performance. Nothing specific. Also, do you guys think reviews would have been even better if they took the patch into account?

Sony better do this game justice with advertising... Just look at these review scores... They will have a commercial by the end of next week with these review scores pasted all over the commercial... They should considering most publishers love to do that and most of their games don't approach this level of acclaim ..

They've played commercials almost every break during the last two weeks of Walking Dead. The advertising it out there.

I just turned off my gaming PC in case it was doing some steam updates and put my ps4 in standby. Checking again shortly and praying it sped up.

I also noticed that it took a few minutes for the speed to go from about 500 kb/s to around 4 mb/s. It just randomly sped way up after two or three minutes of being slow as tits.

Who would have thought greenlighting Demon's Souls back in the day would have led to all this? Sony thought that game was destined to flop.

To be fair, when it was first revealed at TGS, most of the press was pretty negative about it. I remember because I loved the concept from the get-go, but most of the previews I read were less than impressed.

Remember, Polygon decides on the score as a "team" They read the written review and then decide on the score as a group.. Gies will have input on the score regardless if he is reviewing it or not....


However, the Polygon reviewer appears to be loving it based on his review in process....

Why do they even do that? Such as awful way to decide a score. Hey, let me take advice and opinions from people who may not have even played the game yet. Excellent.

Actually, from the Gaffers impressions, this game's opening hours are not linear at all.

Some people actually missed bosses.

If the game does run shorter than the other ones I might not actually mind. After beating Dark Souls I got a little while into NG+ before I got burnt out. Maybe I can finally do those multiple NG+ runs.
