Yes, art is an expression/idea but it's not always political. Some games sure but all? No. There are some people who just over think things.
It hurt my brain to read that.![]()
lol wow
So you haven't played the game, yet you are claiming the game plays the same way as its spiritual predecessors?
As I said earlier people just use that word "political" as a way to escape meaningful critique. Here's a thought, Google the definition of politics and then think about how your using the word here, doesn't really work does it?
There are dozen's of 9s & 10s but folks can only focus on the few outlier opinions. People seem to always need a punching bag when someone doesn't like a game they are hyped about.
Urgh, this guy, what games does he play? Does he say this about every game with violence?

Nevermind him, people, he's a complete nutcase

The point is not about the generality or the looseness of the word "politics" but the point here is the "over thinking" aspect. Get it?
Perhaps y'all can stop searching through a guy's old tweets to find reasons to hate him? If you give him the benefit of the doubt, he was commenting that violence is ubiquitous in games (fact) and it's boring that they are the games that get huge critical and press attention. None of this is evil mastermind dirtbag stuff.
Let people have opinions on Twitter without crucifying them for not meeting some standard of consistency in thought you and I do not bother looking for in ourselves. It's not like Twitter is an outlet where we expect thoughtful rhetoric.
There's a difference between a) commenting on his opinion with the work put in to make sure you don't misrepresent it and b) constructing a straw man you can scoff at without seriously considering the perspective.
It's not about "evil mastermind dirtbag stuff" so much as giving people an idea of the character of the person levying criticism here. You may not like the things he said, but he said them in a public forum, and people can look at them and decide if his is an opinion worth listening to.Perhaps y'all can stop searching through a guy's old tweets to find reasons to hate him? I agree, but it's a pretty common sentiment among PC-centric gamers concerning Bloodborne. Going from 60FPS to 30 can be a big change, but the visuals of Bloodborne seem stellar.https://mobile.twitter.com/Totalbiscuit/status/580287722524409856
Here's a quote from total biscuit I thought was pure snobbery , sorry I'm on phone
Considering the praise Bloodborne is getting, might be worth trying to soldier through despite 30fps. Did with Dark Souls before the mod.
Hmm, it seems you don't understand what I'm trying to say, you're deflecting a debate instead of engaging when you incorrectly use "political" or when you dismiss it by saying people just "over think" it. As I stated I too believe bloodborne's violence shouldn't be held as a negative, but I made supporting counter arguments instead of just outright dismissing the whole idea.

So is MC not updating the score? It only has 41 reviews but I'm sure there were more than that with scores that were released yesterday.
I get you. You like to have a debate for the sake of debating.
While this is not the thread to pile on people's tweets your reasoning seems off, if people didn't want the opinions discussed and critiqued why broadcast them to the whole world?
Besides I've always enjoyed the Souls games (and a lot actually, to become even one of my favorite RPGs ever), I have to agree with that boss statement. When playing Dark Souls 1 I was devastaded by Four Kings, first because I had going into the pit without the ring, and many other tries next just getting kicked by him... the boss is actually quite awesome to be honest, but it was extremely frustrating to run all the way through, since Valley of Drakes, to get beaten like 5, 6, 7 times! For that reason I almost gave up the game... I became like 1 entire month without touching it, then I came back, did it, and kept going till the end. Awesome game, but that almost broke my entire experience!
Yeah but "soldier through" he may as well just call us all peasants and be done with itWell, he said he wants to play the game. 30 FPS is objectively worse than the 60 fps of DaS and DaS2 so it's understandable.

Sometimes I wonder if he's a Gamergater account used to discredit their opposition. Would be less terrifying than if he was for real.
It looks more like a review in progress.Forbes final review is up

It takes a measly 2 minutes or so to get back to the boss if you're taking shortcuts starting from Firelink Shrine, but I could see it adding up until you get decent at making the run there.
I knew that I could read between the linesConsidering he almost exclusively plays on PC and does consider consoles vastly inferior yeah that's exactly what he was thinking lol
