So they dumbed down the game?
So it seems like every Civ release ever - previous version + DLC has a lot more content than the version they want you to pay full price for.Oh my those first reviews are very damning. Glad I didn't preorder this.
Well, since Civ 5 at least. I don't remember feeling that way about Civ 3 or 4.So it seems like every Civ release ever - previous version + DLC has a lot more content than the version they want you to pay full price for.
Look like it's Ed Beach who worked on Brave New World for Civ 5.Who was the creative director on this project?
Not surprised. Civ V was an absolute mess at launch, but became excellent after several expansions, namely from the Gods and Kings expansion. Civ 6 is just boring and ugly and they never managed to fix that. Beyond Earth was awful.
Not surprised by these scores.
They simplified some systems for sure but i've heard on the other hand you have more playstyles you can play so that opens up the games mechanics and possibilities. So they dumbed down the game?
That sounds awul, I was excited for this for a moment.
Idk, but VI is hot garbage - its the, by far, least played entry in the series for me and I started with CIV on the Amiga...Never met a Civ game I didn’t like, so I’m sure I’ll give this one a shot too.
Beyond earth was dope as fuckNot surprised. Civ V was an absolute mess at launch, but became excellent after several expansions, namely from the Gods and Kings expansion. Civ 6 is just boring and ugly and they never managed to fix that. Beyond Earth was awful.
Not surprised by these scores.
Benjamin FranklinopoulosI dont like untying the leaders from the civilisation, just seems like a cop out from having to making fun and unique leaders. Benjamin Franklin, leader of Greece is just goofy.
Beyond earth was dope as fuck
I really need to get into these games. I have both Civ 5 and 6 and never properly sit down to learn the gameplay and mechanics.
Balatro is already doing it to meBe careful. These games can suck all of your time.
Civ 5, while being visually modest and sparse, was actually very sound mechanically. Gameplay-wise it's probably still the most robust and balanced Civ around where every age is equally engaging and fun. There is a reason while it is stil played by 20k people on Steam daily.Civ 5 was barebones and shit on launch. So was 6.
It is an absolute necessity for playing civ in bed like a kingnow I really really understand the value of a PSPortal
I’ve bought it for PS5 instead of PC because I have VI in both PC and iOS. Steam says that I’ve played a few hours and thank fuck the iPad doesn’t show a timer for that because it’d be embarrassing. And that’s how I discovered that I care more about comfy gaming than pin mods.It is an absolute necessity for playing civ in bed like a king![]()
I don’t know. In consoles there is still no patch and the dumb IA signing peace treaties conceding a 28 pop. city with 8 wonders and all the good infrastructure mitigated a little the difficulty.Well I'd say Civ 7 is fine.

Add on about 5 hours for today to that, and I didn't play the early access. Although I probably dodged a bullet because those first few patches seem to have helped a lot.
Yeah fuck this!Fuck all the negative opinions, i'm having a good time with the game.
