Cyberpunk 2077 2.0: Phantom Liberty | PC/Console Performance|Screenshots

Alright I found out the problem , the people who make the settings menu was on drug or something .

If you turn on RT overdrive , then you can turn RT reconstruction on , the shimmering will go away .
After this if you turn off RT overdrive , the RT reconstruction STILL ON , graphics look normal .

BUT if you turn off RT overdrive and using the old RT(psycho) , RT reconstruction grey out , shit shimmering again .

Basically RT reconstruction require for shimmering/flickering free , and its could only turn on if you're playing non-RT or overdrive RT .

The old RT literally unplayble.

Theres a few base settings you can drop that eat a lot of useless frames with 0 visual benefits. Here are my settings, feel free to test them on vs off fps wise and youll see quite a few gains. Everything else can be maxed. For example cascaded shadow range gives me a 10 FPS boost.

Weird, I tried your settings but I had zero gain. Am I limited somewhere (9900k + 4070ti) ?

This thread seems to be mostly about PC, so I'll show my console peasant ass out soon enough, but as the title says "screenshots" as well - there's a scene at a diner that was originally ridiculed (quite deservedly) for a particular pizza. It seems to have been tweaked since, but...

QLdSp0S.jpeg

Not exactly high quality textures still. They've turned it into a pan pizza, which is an abomination (fight me). The pizza is way offset. And check out the geometry on that plate! This is not a puddlegate, but dare I say... pizzagate?

I have the same gpu but a 12700k. Depends where u tested. Best way to try is somewhere outside. Theres also an issue with settings not saving properly. Make sure u reload after changing gfx.

You need to turn on overdrive to use it
You can even use it without RT and with psycho ray tracing if you edit the usersetting.ini .
But somehow the setting ingame was greyout .

Yea its work with old rt , reflection look a lots better .

Not gonna post the bench because it's absolutely useless when you actually try the game and it is way heavier depends on location or situation (first time i tried it was giving me 60 frame rock solid, lmao)

But with 4k dlss balanced, almost everything maxed out, overdrive mode and reflection on psycho i get between 45 and 75 fps, thank god for gsync to smooth this shit out.

The game sometimes look exceptional sometimes i'm not even sure if i'm playing the same game, overall, it looks aight, overdrive mode introduce some strange glitches on characters and objects, or maybe is the ray reconstruction, who knows.

4080 stock, 13600k stock, 32gb ddr5 6000 mhz stock.

I would gladly accept some advanced controller settings because it doesn't feel too good with a controller (strange accelaration and shit).

Where do we get the updated files?

Edit:

I see 3 files to change but only 2 links?

It's looking quite nice on the Series X in performance mode. Runs quite well but there is a little stutter.

I’m kind of floored

I dunno what they’ve done since last time I played but this shit looks fucking incredible

Playing on the 5 w/RT mode and HDR. Gotta take full advantage of the visuals. I wanna be in this world! And I find it to be THE perfect 30 with THE perfect motion blur.

Sitting in the back seat of a car looking out the window shit can look downright real

Yeah, food overall looks hilariously bad in CP2077 compared to everything else in the world lol

Yeh sendit sendit if you can get an X3D chip for a reasonable price then do it. You should also be able to sell on your standard 5800x for a reasonable price to offset the cost.

Damn.....now you got me thinking about upgrading from my 5600X.

I'm gonna go ahead and bet that G-Sync is gonna do a lot of heavy lifting again. More than acceptable performance considering what I'm asking of it. I can't WAIT to start a new playthrough. I loved my first 2 runs and I look forward to seeing the changed.

I also had a 5600x early on and then upgraded to 5800x3D as a last goodbye to AM4

I don’t have the data to backup what I’ll say but, for some games it felt like a generational leap. Hardspace shipwrecked and DCS, outer wilds, etc. Games that are heavy on CPU just like unlocked my 3080Ti and left the 5600x in the dust. Almost felt as much of a generational leap as 1600 to 5600x, I love that processor that much

PBO adjust that bitch like I helped GHG GHG when he got his and it’ll purrr, faster performances for way lower thermals.

It’s been longer than I realised since I last played Cyberpunk

9dR8cOc.png

I’ve just realised that if I was playing this actually in 2077 then 54 years ago would be this year. What’s happened here? Is this just a weird bug/coincidence?

Looks amazing to me eyes when just playing and not analysing freeze frames under a microscope.
Yup. Analyzing ray reconstruction by static screenshots is stupid because one of rr's strong points is temporal stability; one of the well-known issues of 1.62 OD (Edit: But that doesn't mean every scenario will immediately be better, this obviously depends heavily on ML training and, again, integration techniques, there will for sure be back and forth for a while before they find the sweet spot)

Also worth pointing out to console warriors is that all of this is preview technology depending on experimental dynamic approaches to integration and model training. This is the very first steps on the way to a "new" era of lighting, and the output is changing dll by dll. In the case of Cyberpunk, it wasn't even a PT ready game from the get go, it has a lot of limiting raster leftovers not optimized for PT. So once games starts to be built around this tech, it's going to be even more glorious.

It really looks great

Unfortunately, I cant stop noticing FSR ghosting everywhere

While driving, after every fast move, when reloading etc.

Even when talking to NPCs. While I was talking to Kirk I noticed so much ghosting on his hand movements.

Goddamn I hate FSR so much. Even Intel has surpassed them, they should do better.

This is a really good analysis of the pros/cons of Ray Reconstruction:

In summary, it makes the image better in some cases, but worse in others. His conclusion is that the good outweighed the bad, and overall it resulted in an improvement to image quality, at the expense of a few additional artifacts.

As a bonus, there's no range inducing shitty Youtube thumbnail :)

Your bet is safe, it would be unplayable on my end without gsync smoothing the shit out of it.

I swapped out the older DLSS files for the newer ones linked earlier. The thing with RR is that when you disable and renable it or path tracing it gets cleaner. It's weird and seems bugged but once I turned off PT and RR, turned PT back on, and then turned RR back on it seemed to clean up the image. There is definitely notieable artifacting and/or noise with it initially on. Given this is still technically a preview, it can be forgiven but when you have it right, it looks pretty good. Some minor little isussues with reflection on objects or clothing but the main portion of it looks better. I had some issues yesterday with washed out reflections which either the newer 3.5 DLSS files fixed or the tweaking I did with the settings earlier.

Someone mentioned that editing .json file allows to use standard RT with Ray Reconstruction and I can confirm it!

Runs and looks beautiful on 4070, I wanted settings like that from the beginning but game strangely doesn't allow it in menu. PT is way too heavy.

Will post screenshots later.

Would like to know what the fk kind of computer they are running with Path Tracing On/Ray Tracing On to achieve that level of smoothness and fidelity.

Playing on PS5. Looks great and fun update. It doesn’t look nearly as good as PC max settings of course, but seeing all these configs and settings and tinkerings makes me remember why console is my choice over pc nowadays.

People here tinker with the settings for a week straight without playing the game at all lol. Here it’s just sitting down on the sofa with some chips and cold beer and it’s go time 😁.

Hoping the ps5 pro has some serious power though to do this path tracing stuff etc. Would be awesome.

Most dont play at all. They just tinker and bitch and moan the entire time.

Great hobby.
