Looks like Isabela’s testosterone therapy has been going well since DA2
Guess who has a top surgery scar and took a few jabs to the nose

Edit: it looks like meth has been discovered in the setting

Obviously people are going to have varying opinions, but it is pretty wild the stark difference between Skill Up's take and some other reviewers. SU really didn't like this game. Just trashed it.

Oh, I'll wait to see some real world impressions (or for some reviewers like Fextralife who didn't get a code).

I'm not always alligned with his reviews and what he thinks about some games but man. I'm still listening and it's not that he trashed the game. It's how he does it. He really sounds like a parent who was let down. No rage bait, no algorithm shilling.
I can hear he wanted it to be better but alas, the kid has let you down again

If this turns out as bad as Skill up and Mattyp are saying then the mainstream Journo's will be an absolute laughing stock.

I know who my money is on.
Yeah Skill Up showed up with a bucket full of receipts. I was actually excited to play the game but the overall structure failure in a game is the most immersive breaking thing for me. I could ever muster characters I don't like if the setting and pacing truly incorporates them into a compelling force.

Yeah not touching this. Maybe on a sale to just see how these "professor-like" devs brain works, in a self journalistic capacity.

Most definitely a script. So pathetic.

Another one:

And another one:

Polished and confident, Dragon Age: The Veilguard feels like a return to form for the developer. Dragon Age: The Veilguard gives us a beautiful world to experience, interesting allies to explore it with, and action that grows increasingly more nuanced throughout.

And more:

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a phenomenal return to form for BioWare. The story is well-paced and the cast of characters are the trademark BioWare staple of fully-realised, but it’s in the newly action-oriented combat where things truly shine.

And some more:

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a Dragon Age game like no other, and that alone will put some people off. But it brings with it the traditions of excellent character writing, strong world building through narrative quests, and offers the most exciting combat the series has ever seen. There is a stronger version of The Veilguard in here, one with more Solas and companion quests that find a more natural ending, but the one we’ve got is still a worthy successor to Dragon Age: Inquisition, and is a much needed return to form for BioWare.

It's funny, SU is trashing the character designs and graphics, and then one other review I saw(can't remember if it was IGN or Noisy Pixel) was like "This might be the best hair I've ever seen in a game."

Seems like such an odd thing to pick out, and the visual they showed didn't look that great. Two takes juxtaposed are so different.

They already are, we got all the proof looking at the reviews of previous games that turned out to be mid/mediocre or straight out bad while getting praises and decent to high score from many of the reviewers :)

Person like ACG who would actually review this game for what it is mentioned in this thread he didnt even get the code, and that actually works in his favour in terms of his transparency/integrity, and as u probably know, the guy has very big platform, 1,2m subs on yt, if even such a person doesnt get a code for "unknown" reason (aka not biased enough, wouldnt praise this shit of a game like sellouts from ign/eurogamer and many others) it tells u everything about quality of the review scores already :messenger_ok:

What i've noticed, the Woke allegations completely overshadow the game (maybe it's a good game, who knows)
Taking all of the woke shit aside, I noticed a few reviews mentioning that apparently Act 1 takes majority of the game and is super bloated, boring and just not fun. Writing is claimed to be very juvenile, cringe and feeling like a tumblr fanfic. Story is very safe and doesn't do anything interesting, quests doesn't have too much variety and gameplay keeps being same'y. Curiously enough, apparently the finale is solid

I don't like how apparently the image quality is quite soft in performance mode, it is sharper in quality mode but once you start moving it isn't, just wtf? You'd think that at least in quality mode you'd get that, a better image quality at all times at the cost of framerate.

Alright, thats fair enough. Finally a statement on the actual game.

That's what happens when devs make a game to push their worldview. Subtlety is needed when you want to preach effectively in entertainment. The implementation here is very in your face and heavy handed.
Yes, actually I'm not very interested in the game myself but as Dazraell Dazraell pointed out the game may have huge flaws itself, beside pushing their worldview on you.

I mean, you can objectively see the hair isn't the best anyone's ever seen in a game, which automatically makes you question whether the rest of their review is actually coming from a place of good faith or not.
