It’s not my opinion
Guess I’m dumb 2080ti,3090,4090 and now 5090Is having the best possible experience dumb?
Pretty much, nothing wrong with a Honda Civic but I'm driving my F150 for a reasonAs dumb as buying a high end luxury vehicle or sports car. Some people want the finer things and have plenty of disposable income. You get what you pay for.
F350 ftwPretty much, nothing wrong with a Honda Civic but I'm driving my F150 for a reason
You said it. I'm fine with a midrange graphics card, but I'm never folding myself into a vehicle again.Pretty much, nothing wrong with a Honda Civic but I'm driving my F150 for a reason
Stuttering in every single new game is the best experience? Is having the best possible experience dumb?
The fact that you purchase high-end video cards makes the answer painfully obvious.
2 years give or takehow long be for top of the line pc stuff is out dated and its time to buy the new stuff??
Depriving weebs of GPUs is a human rights violation FYIIf u have spare money , whynot?
I live in Japan and I see lot of English teacher complaining about how they can’t pay rent , low salary, bad conditions, family money issues … but in line to get the new next gpu. wtf?![]()

I'd argue judging your smartness in this case comes down to your financing, not your purchase choices lolGuess I’m dumb 2080ti,3090,4090 and now 5090![]()
You're right, but COVID and mining has done irreparable damage to high-end PC gaming. A top of the line graphics card used to be less than twice the price of a console. Now, the MSRP is 5x higher and the sell price 6-7x.
And the answer is it depends on the person. "Dumb" in this case is relative, so it's only the case if it hurts you financially. If not and you want it, then no, it isn't a dumb decision. You're right, but COVID and mining has done irreparable damage to high-end PC gaming. It's certainly a question worth asking.
I am glad I can't tell the difference between $5 7-11 wine and a $30 dollar bottle. Unfortunately, I can tell the difference between Seagram's Seven and Pendleton. As dumb as buying a high end luxury vehicle or sports car. Or preferring to drink Remy Martin XO(I like 1738) when you can just get buzzed off some cheap liquor store E&J Brandy. Some people want the finer things and have plenty of disposable income. That's true, but let's say the number of person for whom it has become dumb has increased dramatically over the past few years. Back in 2013, purchasing a $750 card was a no-brainer for me. Even the $1000 2080 Ti wasn't that bad. I started to question it with the 4090's $1600, but its monstrous performance made it an easy pill to swallow. The $2500 5090 though? Nah.And the answer is it depends on the person. "Dumb" in this case is relative, so it's only the case if it hurts you financially. If not and you want it, then no, it isn't a dumb decision.
Which is why it's relative. I bought a TITAN RTX for $2500 back in 2020, so a 5090 at the same price is a given. That's true, but let's say the number of person for whom it has become dumb has increased dramatically over the past few years.
