If RVP didn't know Fergie had already retired before and could do so again at any time, then he is even dumber than what your stereotypical footballer sounds like.

Joe Hart seems like he could be gay. I mean they all, do, really. All British people seem gay to Americans.

U wot m8? Is that why you guys always cast British people as villains, you bloody homophobes. Or maybe all American men secretly want James Bond to smash down their door and ravage them.

Cancelled my preorder for South Park because of the censor stuff but am really thinking of caving in to the ubisoft overlords.

Fergie got what he wanted out of RVP.

Was basically £24m for the title.

Move him on, get some £££ back. Either buy a new striker or:

Januzaj - Kagawa - Mata
----------- Rooney -----------

Catching up with the news coming from The S*n that an England player who played on Wednesday will come out as gay.

A lot of names been mentioned, mainly Sturridge and Henderson. Sturridge is dating Jourdan Dunn, the supermodel so I doubt it's him.

To be honest, I couldn't care if any Liverpool player is gay, I would be more bothered that they spoke to the S*n.

Yes, that's more important than the coming-out of the first Premier League player.

Also known as a "onesie".

Reading twitter about the gay footballer is throwing up some funny speculation.

Mobile phone incident doesn't count apparently. :lol England leftbacks are quite defensive about their sexuality apparently.

I think it speaks volumes about our society that some people think it isn't. As brave as this player is if this is true, it shouldn't be a massive deal that someone is allowed to be honest about their sexuality. What that fucking rag did should never be glossed over so easily.

Also, apparently this just happened on Sky Sports News;

It shouldn't be a big deal no, but unfortunately for the sport it is, homosexuality in sport still seems like a bit of a taboo in general, for football especially. If it takes an England player to come out to make people realise maybe these people aren't all that bad then so be it.

But I honestly don't see how going to the Sun is 'glossing over' what they did, if this player felt most comfortable talking to a Sun journo to get this story out to try and get the game moving forward than again, so be it. Moving past ridiculous prejudice should transcend the Sun hate, not that it should be in any way diluted or forgotten.

The Sun has the circulation?

Doesn't seem that relevant, unless you think there's a chance other news outlets would completely miss the story if it was in, say, The Mirror.

This would be headline news everywhere afterwards. Which is a little bit sad, but there you go. Hopefully it'll be less of a big deal afterwards.

No mention yet of David Moyes' open letter?

BBC said:
You are accustomed to seeing a successful Manchester United and the backing you have given the players and me throughout the season has been incredible," Moyes continued in his letter.

"Away from home the travelling fans have remained the best in the country, while at Old Trafford your unwavering faith has been noticeable and hugely welcomed.

"Supporting your team when they are winning is easy, but much harder when things are not going as well, and the loyalty you have shown us has been magnificent.

"I have absolutely no doubt we will see great winning sides here again."

Cunt is feeling the axe being grinded I think...

I haven't seen anything of this England player coming out thing.

Have they specified that it's the men's team, and that it's a current player?

God I wish that bitter cunt would shut his mouth

Ideally, the ghost of Gary Speed would rise up and shatter the fucker's teeth.

"Gary would have wanted me to have the Wales job" - even without the bitter garbage he has spouted since, that episode wrote him off as a worthwhile human.

Had a great afer dark post but couldn't make it last night. And since it seems we got some new people who are unsure if this is the football thread due to content I'll wait till later.

Klopp:
"If I was Matthias Sammer, I'd thank god every morning before driving to the Bayern training centre that someone came up with the idea to sign me. I think FC Bayern wouldn't have one single point less without Sammer."
