It's just odd. I don't remember this being touted so regularly when he was a Madrid player. Now everyone is tripping over themselves to spout it even in unrelated conversations.

Arsenal are an easy target.

There is no winning, not just here, but with the media also. If he has a good game against a lower team, well it was a lower team so it doesn't count.

Admittedly, he hasn't been great against the bigger teams, but none of our players have.

People will say for 42 million you would expect him to grab the game by the scruff, but those people have obviously never watched him before.

I am still Benzema's #1 fan here. I just have higher expectations of him and though he is not meeting any of them, he is doing decent as of late.

edit: correction , he is meeting currently the minimum requirement to be considered an elite cf: his ratio IS ≥ 20% atm.

The injury of our midfield engine (Ramsey) has undoubtedly played a role in his drop in form as well traditional period of adaption for the English league.

Was ace earlier in the season in some of our big games, like Napoli.

Definitely. I think our best midfield is Ozil-Ramsey-Flamini.

Ramsey and Flamini cover so much ground that Ozil doesn't have to worry about tracking back.

As someone who followed Ozil since his werder bremen days and as a Real Madrid supporter I have to say that he is BRILLIANT, but he is one of those players that has a switch..
when its on he is on fire and he will wreck havoc on the field
but when its off then he is beyond dead weight (with some sparks of brilliance on occasion that die fast)

Those times when his switch is off is what is relegating him from a player that can carry your team to glory to a player that is important to your team but you can never rely on him as an ace player.

don't know man, Messi basically donated the whole children part of one of the public hospitals in Rosario.

He has grown over time to look like a complete cunt, after watching what he does and the way he acts. But I still think he's just socially inept or has some social problem/disorder.

I think something that is often underlooked when assessing Ozil at Arsenal is Giroud's general finishing guffness.

Even an average finisher would result in a much bigger return from Ozil.
