I am legit interested in seeing how Forza performs on a console platform that has had an 800 lb gorilla named Gran Turismo for decades
It should do well, the racing market is pretty thin as it is, we used to have 10's of different racers, now there is barely a handful. One currentgen NFS, Crew, Test Drive, the competition isn't very stiff. Horizon managed to kill Motorsport so maybe it will put a dent into GT as well.

Around a quarter of potential sales.

I’d consider it at a heavy discount, I’m not paying those prices for a digital download though.

Probably a good guess since the ratio is about 70/30 in favor of digital sales, but I suspect that if people really to buy this game, they will no matter if it's available in physical form or not. It's a great game, but I think it's too expensive given the age.

It’s hard when a lot would have played it on PC already, will still be we’ll into the millions.

Launch FH6 Japan setting day 1 and take it back to its roots a bit, which I think they will and watch it break the 40 million set by FH5.

Early but very late access. 😂

I’d like to think people can wait a few more days. Great game by the way (especially if you’ve not played any of the earlier versions) - I think it will do great numbers on PS.

Why the heck an early acess for this game that already launched on other plataforms, I got no idea.
But I got interested, maybe I bite the regular one.

Hopefully crossplay with pc and xbox
Hopefully not. Played the pc version online and it's full of idiots screaming all the time.

This was around launch dont know what it's like now.

I can tolerate quite a lot, I played burnout paradise online too where the level of butthurt does something to some people, but forza horizon was magnitudes worse.

So much so I had to search for how to stop people being able to talk to me by default.

If you have access to gran torismo 7, would you even want to play this ?
I have over 5000 hours in GT7 and I wanna play FH5.

There different enough games that both can co exist.

Things I like about GT7.

1. Car Models
2. Driving Physics and feel of the cars.
3. The showcase - Livery editor.
4. Photomode

Things I like about FH5

1.The car list so many cars in FH not in GT7
2. Free roam
2. Driving Physics and feel of the cars. in my short time with FH5 back in 2022 I remember how the cars felt better then NFS and The crew 2 which I got to play for a short time before deleting it.

Well dang. No gamefly rental for me. Guess I'll have to wait on a sale if it is only digital.

Oh well.

Yeah, having digital aways in this game will be very difficult for me to buy it.
They can do anything with it, I would be more willing to buy the physical.

How Ninja Gaiden 2 get and this don't?

Doesn't make sense.

Ninja Gaiden 2 will be focused more towards the Japanese market.

If you want your game to flop over there, go digital only.

I wonder if the developer also influences whether they go digital or not.

Figured I'd drop this here as it's the best FH5 video I've seen and is nearly spot on with my criticism of the game.

I still have hundreds of hours in the game, and I bought the Ultimate Edition Day 1 on Xbox, and then later down the line on Steam for 50%. I will most likely buy the game on PS5 once it hits around 50% off too but that does not mean it doesn't have faults and I think the fact that FH5 despite being the 2nd worse in the series for me (I think I like 2 the least personally) I've bought it multiple times and put hundreds of hours into it over the years. It just goes to show how good the Horizon series is overall.

Personally for me 3=4>1>5>2.

If you have access to gran torismo 7, would you even want to play this ?
Comments like this always come across as fan boyish to me (not saying you are just in general).
Because the games aren't even close to the same thing? This is painfully obvious even just seeing trailers.

Gran Turismo is and always has been a sim racer. Forza Motorsport was created to compete with Gran Turismo. Forza Horizon is an arcade racer with physics that bring in some sim elements. They are so fundamentally different that they don't really have anything in common outside of being racing games.

Now if they were porting the latest Forza Motorsport then I would 100% agree.
