Ngl it has the best shot.

It's the last good Xbox franchise they've got (that isn't COD or TES).

Edit:

Tbh, Fable pre-alpha footage looks good.
My favorite franchises are Halo, Gears, Fable, Foza Horizon, Forza Motorsport, Avowed, Call of Duty, State of Decay, Flight Simulator and Ori.

All in on Xbox games rolling into other platforms,

I mean, yeah, in 2007 Xbox 360 was THE console to get. You’d have never imagined it turning out this way back then.

Moving to MS branding makes a lot more sense than trying to prop up the Xbox sub-brand on a platform that is clearly aware of it, but uninterested.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions about them sunsetting Xbox as a brand completely just yet though, I see it more like them starting to use Microsoft for all their cross-brand publishing as it makes it seem less "desperate" for sales -for want of a better expression.

I see it more to protect Xbox, by preserving some uniqueness even though it seems likely that they will ultimately be migrating to a full multi-platform model.

Look at it this way; there's no way Sony can allow EA to run their own subscription system but deny Microsoft without being accused of being deliberately anti-competitive. Whereas, Xbox being a rival platform there's a much more clear rationale to not letting them set up shop within their proprietary ecosystem... as that's a literal trojan horse.

Facts are key. That’s why.
What facts exactly?
Where are the facts Sony is going third party?

We agree on some GaaS, with the most successful, Helldivers 2, skipping Xbox so far.
There is nothing about their Single Player games, so where are your facts?

What are these facts you speak of and these Sony 1st party games that had Day 1 multiplatform releases?

MLB and that fucking Lego Horizon game lol. One game that is 100% not up to Sony, and the other which is highly unlikely to be up to them. Then you have a whole fucking 2 GAAS titles one of which literally died like a week after release to the point they refunded all purchases and closed the studio.

Edit: MLB and that fucking lego game lol

Are you stating that the past 4 years haven’t had some single player PS Studio games come day one multiplatform?
Are you stating that MLB and Horizon lego are the kind of games that show Sony is going third party?

Let me know when Xbox gets any of the following:

God Of War
Ghost Of Tsushima
Spiderman
The Last Of Us
Uncharted
Gran Turismo
Astro bot
Demons Souls
Returnal
Horizon
Days Gone
Bloodborne

You get the idea, the kind of games that put Sony on the throne and everyone is asking them to return to.

Yet you are stuck on some GaaS, MLB and the completely irrelevant Lego Horizon.
Xbox didn't even get Concord, an arena shooter that requires high player numbers to make sense on a business level.

Dude.....your post has massive errors. Day one means the day it was initially released. Always has

FH5 is delisted in 2 years if it’s the same as previous Horizon games. Not sure that’s good.
That's because of licenses, right? Maybe MS will pay for those once they see how it sells on PS. Also, there are no guarantees that FH6 will be any good after key people left the studio in 2023.

So, in principle, the Forza Horizon franchise should sell as well as any top-notch PlayStation AAA first-party game. But knowing MS, they will find a way to screw this game. For starters, let's see if they put some marketing into this release

So you listed 29 games, of which 5/29 aren't even 1st party and only 5/29 released day 1 or will release day 1. Of those 5 games
5 aren't even 1st party games.
24 of them didn't release day 1.
2 of the 5 that did release day 1 aren't even out yet.
3 of those 5 aren't "SINGLE PLAYER PS STUDIO GAMES COME DAY ONE MULTIPLATFORM" and are in fact GAAS titles.

You sure spent a lot of time proving yourself wrong. Again you said 1st party, you said single player, and you said Day 1. But hey 17% is probably a passing score somewhere in the world. I'm not convinced you know what any of those words even mean at this point.

AND you padded it by stating the same games twice.

Sony releasing their games years after original release on PC makes them third party?

Can you understand the difference between what Sony and MS do?

That's been a common narrative lately. "Sony is doing the same thing". It's not accurate. Now maybe they will one day every game will be on every platform. Can't say I have a problem with that. But right now, that's just an imaginary future that isn't reflected in the here and now.

Sony laid it out pretty clearly to stockholders last year. "Single-player, narrative focus" studios will be day one PlayStation exclusives. Live service we know will be multiplat. The "evolving, multi-genre" studios seem to be a hybrid. Hard to make out what the strategy is there, but we know Guerrilla has made one multiplat game with Lego Horizons and San Diego Studio is already there with MLB the Show. I would have thought GT would be on PC by now, but still PS5 exclusive so not sure there. Either way, PlayStation's strategy is much different from Xbox. That much is certain.

GT is the real driving simulator. FHorizon is arcade fun and bombastic. GT is a documentary/Drama and FHorzion is an Action movie. it should sell 10M easily

Music/car licensing. Unfortunately this is the reason we won't ever get the better Horizon games over on PlayStation (3/4), and likewise with getting almost any racing game like PGR or older GT titles on modern platforms.

So you're wrong, dumb, and delusional? Makes sense now.

Exactly, it's a completely different strategy, yet #sonytoo for some reason exists.
The competition irrelevant PC gets some games years after original release and somehow Sony too is going third party.

Kvally Kvally for some reason its hard for you to digest, but one of them releases most if not all of their 1st party line up on competitive platforms because they made their own platform obsolete.

Yeah, and Sony has damn good reason for presenting that stuff to their stockholders. They know PlayStation is the single biggest product line at Sony Corp. Any change in strategy there that could be seen as potentially jeopardizing that segment is going to be scrutinized. And it has been, multiple times, during these stockholder sessions. Gaming is a more important segment for Sony than it is for Microsoft.

Kvally Kvally is a good guy. I just think he is way off base here.

It's PS5 Pro enhanced, btw.

Forza Horizon 5 on PS5 features two rendering modes to choose from: Performance (60fps) and Quality (30fps).

On PS5 Pro, the Performance mode receives increased visual fidelity, while Quality mode adds ray traced car reflections to Races and Free Roam.

I am surprised there is no performance RT mode. the RT reflections in this game are extremely lite. I can easily run this at 1440p 60fps~80fps with RT on my RTX 3060ti with slightly higher than the Series X's performance mode settings.
with PSSR, a native 1440p resolution upsampled to 4K with RT enabled would feel like a logical way to go on the Pro. The game already supports DLSS, so temporal upsampling already works with the engine.

First of all, you're claiming those as all single-player games? Second, calling "The Definitive, Remaster" as day one is funny. Third, several of those games aren't even Sony games. Finally, putting ports on PC A LOT different than putting games on Xbox.

You are really handling PlayStation killing off the Xbox console poorly. I hope you find the help you need.
