They're both relatively long :lol . What I can say though is that niether one turns to shit halfway through. If you've sunk about 10 hours into each game then you know what they are about.

Most of my gaming time this year was spent with games that didn't come out in 2009: WoW WotLK, King's Bounty: The Legend, Mass Effect, Europa Universalis 3 Complete... really, I barely bought any games for full price all year. NSMB would be up there if I owned it or had more opportunity to play it at a friends.

Pulseman is a "new"-to-the-US Genesis game via Virtual Console, unless you think its Sega Channel appearance disqualifies it.

The choice between Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2 was a hard one for me. I've only played through U2 once, whereas I've put in nearly 100 hours on MW2 already. Both games have mastered their respective genres - no action-adventure game is nearly as fluid or exciting as U2, and no FPS has ever felt so responsive as MW2. Ultimately, though, I admire a well constructed narrative experience much moreso than a finely tuned online experience, so Uncharted 2 has to get it. It's pretty much perfect and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Whilst I enjoyed MW2's campaign mode a lot, it was in many ways a step back from what Infinity Ward achieved with the original game, and none of the aspects within it come close to the perfection Naughty Dog created.

TLDR; MW2 is my mistress I'll constantly go back to fuck, but U2 is the wife I'll love forever.

Also, for all my measly opinion is worth, I don't like the point system this year.

I was looking through this thread for inspiration, turns out I've not played many good games this year at all. I've played Layton, M+L:BiS, Scribblenauts, but I don't really feel any of them deserving of a point. I can't even allocate ten points. Bad year.
