Why does a 5060 Ti have as much VRAM as a 5080? (16gb)
and why does the 5070 only have 12gb?

I feel like nvidia really messed this product stack up

On the plus side the memory bandwidth on the 5060 is 448gb/s vs 288gb/s on the 4060ti. (You know, barring surprises. Yeah, who knows what surprises it'll have.)

At least from Videocardz it's both the 5060 and 5060ti.

It's probably like the 4060 and 4060 Ti. So $499 for the Ti 16 GB, $399 for the 8 GB and $299 for the 5060 (assuming it's still GB207)

The 5060 Ti 16 GB is yes a very bad deal but that is intentional because they don't actually want to sell it. It's only there to quell the 8 GB haters.

managed to get a gigabyte 5070ti today. It will arrive tomorrow. hopefully with all the ROPs lol
Ooh, where? Microcenter had a few 5080s restocked today, but Asus has them at $1500 to $1700 MSRP, lol.

That’s cool 50-70% above MSRP. They can get the hell out of here for that price.

Anyone else experiencing random 1-2 second black screens during windows? Its looks like the monitor turns off for a second but its actually not. Never happened ingame just while browsing the internet. It happens every day like 2-3 times since i got my 5070ti.

I was super lucky to find someone wanted to trade my Astral 5090 for FE. both MSRP ( well.. 50$ canadian less because my card was open but his was new ).

no missing rops on the FE thank god... now I am happy with the card's price. finding an FE is a unicorn.

knocks on wood lol.

I already uv the card and it's working like a charm.

Why didn't you want to keep the astral? Also, nice build!

thanks
I got 1300$ CAD back ( bringing back the price of the card to 2000 US). to me thats worth it.

I had the 4090 FE and I loved that card. the first card I really wanted to buy was the 5090 FE but it was a shit show for us here in Canada. all other cards outside of the Astral are not worth it for me. at least the Astral was nice looking and had the pins sensor thing. but between that and the FE. FE 100%.

not to mention if i ever change my mind to min ITX it will work like a charm.

I want another 5090 system but I just can't justify 6k on any pre built

I actually paid more for my first 4090 system but it was super custom with dual water loops
Microcenter had a pretty good 5080 rig for $3K that I almost bought. But that included 64GB RAM and 9950x3D.

Price was actually pretty fair considering “real” 5080 MSRP is between $1300 and 1500 and up if you can even find a card.

5090s are just stupidly priced right now even from OEM builders and custom builders.

Waiting for the RTX Rubin 6000 GPU is the better thing do do imo. With RTX Rubin datacenters GPU releasing in mid 2026, probably the RTX 6000 Rubin gaming GPUs will be at the end of 2026 or early 2027. I plan to get RTX 6080 Rubin GPU, though it will depend on the spec and price of the said Gpu too...

So did the other cards…and it made surprisingly little difference…just look at the benchmarks.
The 5070 has 4% more cores over the 4070 and 33% more bandwidth. It’s around 17-23% faster. 4-8% for the 5060 Ti over the 4060 Ti seems insanely pessimistic. I’m expecting more along the line of 15-20%.
