I'm absolutely baffled that you didn't take two minutes to PM me and ask me to make the new OT. Then you didn't even other to copy/paste the code from the old thread to this one out of sheer laziness. It's no secret that you don't even like the game so why in the hell did you take it upon yourself to do this? Also, changing the god damn title pisses me off to no end because I thought about titles for days for a VERY SPECIFIC REASON. I SPECIFICALLY came up with a title that didn't have the stupid inside jokes or anything of the sort and was made for people who knew nothing about the game. I was in a party today doing CoF, when someone told us we can skip "the asura placing the bomb before the boss battle", I was not convinced but we did skip it, but after killing the boss, the guy showed us how to do that part running one at the time while the others wait outside, I hope not to get banned for just 1 time offense.

Of course wvw should be 24hours. My prime time is 2am to whenever. Why should I he locked out of it because I work 2nd shift? Also from my experience the late night crew is better than the normal prime time one. At least people will defend and call shit out before it gets taken

Yeah I can't decide if it's hilarious or pathetic. All the officers of the gafguild ditching the thread (Ashodin: THIS THREAD IS A WASTELAND) just because some people are legitimately critiquing the game is blowing my mind. Way to take things personally over a videogame.

Someone posted earlier about ArenaNet taking down Youtube videos. A little followup to that story, it's just the typical thing. They don't want people making money off the ads on those videos, however if you're part of a network you still can put ads in front. Pretty much every game company has done this, the only one who hasn't is Mojang. So nothing to get angry about.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about NeoGAF culture (I'm an expert), but |OT|s and titles are huge parts of it. It's not like it is on Gamefaqs where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over on NeoGAF, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the GAF public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to browse either the GW2 |OT| or the |OT2|, nor will they browse any of Teknopathetic's threads. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Teknopathetic has alienated an entire audience with this move.

Tekno, publicly apologize and cancel your joke title for the |OT| or you can kiss your view count goodbye.

Teknopathetic making this OT2 has made me want to click on it. And this is coming from someone who will never play GW2.

I'm currently on Isle of Janthir with friends who are now playing Borderlands 2 and our Oceanic WvWvW presence is so bloody awful I'd be happy to bolster SBI's. How is the sPvP on SBI? I need to convince my friends that it's better than IoJ.

If anything, I'm more surprised by the fact that I've NEVER been greeted by a GAF guild member, but GAFO usually helps out whenever we meet out in PvE.

For you mesmers out there -

1) Temporal Curtain is A-may-zing in WvW. Combined with Blink you can boost the speed of the your entire zerg, or slow the opponents'. Still need to play with the pull effect but I suspect it's awesome.
2) Null Field is amazing during sieges, especially when you're trying to keep people up by the gates. It also saves lives when your group has sounded the retreat.
3) Not feeling like I'm contributing a lot offensively. I still die quickly to rangers and thieves. I'm just trying to boost my zerg and help out on smaller scaled battles when I come across them. What are you guys doing?

I can't wait to try portal. I'm just itching to get a group together and start warping around everywhere.

SBI has War Machine, Last Pride, Idiot Savants and other classic GW1 spvp guilds who were tops at the height of the pvp in that game. How many of the german/euro top players are here, I am not sure.

I just ran into someone I must have done Halls with years ago who is now with Last Pride. He said he ended up working for ANet for two years. We couldn't remember each other, but I figured I must have known him from Halls. I only recognized his name because it was a name on my friends list in GW1.

RE: Temporal Curtain

Put curtain up near the top of a keep wall during a siege. Use the pull effect to yank range enemies off the keep walls and down into the middle of your siege army.

Also, the Focus trait that reflects projectiles is great in WvWvW. You can shuffle between Temp Curtain, Warden and Mirrored Feedback to punish ranged foes.

I think the problem with that is that you immediately recognize who's in your guild due to the name being red. I honestly never pay attention to the guilds of other players so if someone from GAFO walked by I probably wouldnt even be aware of it

Not a huge fan of bombs, but that grenade grandmaster trait is essential if you are planning on using grenades - and you should, theyre awesome

Yea, i started out as an elixir condition pistol/pistol/shield engineer. I was also using turrets in the early levels. Around level 50 or 60 i switched to rifle and grenades and I have never looked back. I find it more fun and its just a lot more effective.

The Mesmer grandmaster traits suck. If you go to grandmaster as a mesmer, you're more likely taking three lower tier traits rather than a grandmaster trait. The minor Grandmaster traits are good though.

Final verdict on Pistol/Pistol = Just doesn't compare to Dagger/Dagger and Pistol/Dagger. Going for a heal build doesn't really matter when the people hitting you will be doing more damage than you can heal back.

From a PvE standpoint, focus/1H on a Guardian is probably better than shield/1H because of the focus 5 skill having 3 blocks.

works nice in pvp for defending capture points because of the 5 skill which is a aoe knockback that creates a dome that lasts for 4s.

You can basically free any point thats captured by the enemy team no matter how many people there are or defend your own for 4 more seconds even when heavily outnumbered.

I know this is about the guardian, but as a warrior I choose the shit that helps me fuck some shit up...my rule is point the pointy edged and the enemy and goto fucking town and make some homies bleed, ya dig?

I especially like the Great sword and dual axes, any thing that makes me spin so that I can go wheeeeeeeee!
