Stalker is an unusual beast...while I'm not sure about it's gameplay it certainly does have the HL2 and D3 visuals beat...still...from a pure visual perspective F.E.A.R. is #1 imo :b

I can't watch this on the PC I'm at now, but the last STALKER footage that was supposed to blow my socks off had shitty animation and obvious framerate problems. Has any of that been fixed?

Looks nice. Some of the creatures are really cool like the one that uses telekanisis(sp?).

The jerkiness was the movie quality. Hopefully one day they use Bink.

the surroundings in this movie seems alot more interesting than in the hi-tech doom3 coridoors.

Animation is awful too. And it's NOT from jerky videos.

Of course this is from all previous media, I have not seen these videos yet. Downloading ATM.

you can really see the difference between 60fps and 30fps (or less)

beginning of the fly by camera sequence - 60fps
in-game - 20-30fps

Im not that excited for the game, but i appriciate the A-life stuff, all games with creatures need this (especially MMORPGs).

yea... cept the video itself is encoded at 30fps /bonks giga on the head

Its motion blue in the flyby video that made it look smoother, otherwise, its the same damn thing as the in game.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. may be good, but some no name game isn't going to make me forget about sequels to two of the bigger PC franchises.

These graphics aren't any better than that of Half Life 2, and I'm sure the physics won't even come close. Still, it looks decent though.

They won't come close to matching a middleware physics engine that's already been included in a half dozen or more videogames?

I'm intersted in how this "A Life" system pans out.

I hope it doesn't turn out to be a shoddy excuse for not being able to deliver compelling AI in the game.
