Anything can happen at this point but games like The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush and Bloodborne are from Studio Japan, so that might more difficult to bring more to PC.....but I could be wrong.PC always wins!
I only need Bloodborne now. The rest I can happily live without.
A'ight I'll keep my word
Pretty sure that the rumored bigger game will be Spiderman on pc
As soon as he can figure out a way to spin it as the best thing Sony can ever do, we will get a whole write up with plenty of this ............... in between sentencesBut we haven’t heard TheLastWord of this yet?
59,99You have been able to get the complete edition for less than $20 at retail and like $8 or less on key sites for like two years now. How much can they actually charge for this?

I'm not really talking it would be hard to port or not, would Sony allow Studio Japan game get released on PC? But like I said before, at this point anything can happen.well Bloodborne uses the same engine as Dark Souls 3 basically... that should be an easy port IMO

what the actual fuck?

If Gravity Rush gets PC release, I would be delighted, that way the game gets more known and more people get to play this gem.Yes. Things have changed at Sony. It was starring everyone in the face and they ignored it.

Good to hear. And this goes for MS too. Now if only Nintnedo did it. More games that can be played across platforms, the more money the company makes and the more the studio makes. Win win.Now that you guys know I'm not a fraud, perhaps I can repeat myself with my words sinking in:
1) PC is the primary development platform for nearly ALL games 1st party and 3rd party. Believe it or not, it's been that way for quite some time I'm told.
2) Sony's shift into the PC realm is going to get bigger and that means going from a hardware selling model to a game selling model (ala Microsoft).
3) There is no such thing as porting backwards. PC version is the de facto best vision of the director and assets/shaders, etc.. get ported DOWN. So releasing on the PC has always been a corporate decision. All assets are created so that they can't possibly run on a console.
NOTE: Watch the PS5 released games and keep in mind a PC version could lurk in the corner giving even better fidelity given the correct hardware.
Was VFX the one who brought this up a month or so ago? And it (at the time) was a PS Now game.VFXVeteran was right all along. We need to thank our insider.
On a more important note, nude Alloy!
So an insider on GAF said many PS games will be coming to PC in the next few years (just you wait to see this unfold).
Lo and behold, it's only games coming to PSNOW which you can stream to PC...…..(chuckle doodle doo)....![]()
He took the bruises along the way. At one point he even started doubting himself when the PSNOW version got announced. Was VFX the one who brought this up a month or so ago? And it (at the time) was a PS Now game.
I'm always skeptical about insiders. But if he was the one, there's finally a bonafide insider who made a unique claim and should be right. None of that vague shit, or tagging along other people's BS and riding someone else's coat trails if they were right.
Simple. Money. He took the bruises along the way. At one point he even started doubting himself when the PSNOW version got announced.
Apart from that, I’m scratching my head on wtf Sony is trying to do here. It’s not like they are short on install base like the other guys. I can only conclude they are super confident PS5 will bring high end results enticing PC owners with a back catalogue. You like this? Now jump onto the shiny new stuff only available on PS5. See how it plays out.
I think this is one reason.holy fuck what are the chances of this being the reason why shawn layden left sony? sony wanted everything on PC and he noped the fuck out of the idea

What was the other one? I guess I missed it.Only doubted the HZD because I couldn't get a confirmation. BUT I did get one that's even more crazy than HZD, so I had faith regardless.

Game selling model now. Simple. And PS5 will share some of it's love with the PC.
No, the fact is, a lot of people who play vidya on PC are not going to jump to console to play a handful of Sony exclusives. A lot of people are going to be playing Halo 3, 4, Reach, etc. for the first time as it comes out on PC. They didn't buy a Xbox to play those games, even if they loved 1-2 on the PC.
If Sony really is doing this, then it's because they want to sell to those people. The PC gaming market is huge. Companies make as much or more on the PC than they make on the individual console lines. If they can pick up millions of extra sales on PC, then it's something worth thinking about. Especially when the console is so similar technically to PC.
I think the vast majority of people are fine with a console with all that entails. Most people don't post on NeoGAF. Most people don't watch Digital Foundry videos. For those people, the PS5 is awesome. But it's not like NeoGAF owners are going to skip the PS5. There's so much talk about Xbox in this forum and MS flat out said that every Xbox game is on PC day one.

Perhaps. But I can't see Sony making money off selling their limited quantity of exclusives to PC owners vs their own eco-system where they take 30% of Every piece of software sold & hardware peripherals. Protecting that eco-system is still priority #1 no doubt.
Business wise I can only see this as a 'carrot' to bring more people into the Playstation family. If you're e.g. desperate to play Horizon 2 after playing the first one then Sony is the platform. If you stick to the first one only, then it's just the game sale - no harm done. Proof will be simple,; will PS5 games hit PC along side the console? if not then the premise proves itself.
Also said 9TF for PS5... interesting...
That’s what I said, it’s to bring more people in by providing the ‘carrot’. Not to retain. You're looking at it from the POV that this means people en masse will skip the PS5 where they would have bought one otherwise. I just don't see that happening for the majority of people. I see this more as selling to people who they aren't selling to now.
That’s what I said, it’s to bring more people in by providing the ‘carrot’. Not to retain. On general, once people sample Sony studios output it’s difficult to not be impressed, that’s what happened to me and a few others towards the end of the PS3 gen. Only they provide the quality worthy of my time - personal preferences aside. And I‘m interpreting this as a Sony move to do just that.
Gran Turismo: PC EditionThat one is definitely staying tight-lipped. I'm sure Kotaku knows.![]()
