I mean, Sony should be worried that Xbox shitting the bed didn't substantially grow their user base in comparison to the previous gen. If your main competitor's colossal mess up didn't lead to your own massive hardware growth, that's obviously a problem.

No, they cannot be compared directly. One was a lot cheaper at launch and had several price cuts while the other just got a single modest cut.

You do understand that PS5 is around 80 million sold as we speak right? Which is only 37 million away from PS4 with the biggest game of the generation still to come . If PS5 doesn't out sell PS4 it's going to be right on its heels. I swear you people can't be intelligent life forms posting stuff like this.

Both PS5 vanilla and the SX have their own advantages and disadvantages. This has been made clear by plenty of PS5 games delivering better technical performance than the SX. Not to mention, if MS’s statement that ‘the Series X was meant to be the mid-gen upgrade’ is to be believed, PS5 vanilla is vastly superior to the Series S and the PS5 Pro is vastly superior to the Series X.

The software is better? The console exclusives on PS5 are still scoring higher than those on SX and the big SX releases in Halo Infinite, Starfield, and Indiana Jones, and Avowed failed to do much for the console. I would take Horizon Forbidden West, FF7R, Helldivers 2, FF16, AstroBot, GOW Ragnarok, GT7, Rise of Ronin, Stellar Blade, Rachet and Clank RA, Demon’s Souls Remake, and Spiderman 2 any day of the week over the library I have access to on the SX.

The connectivity? Jesus. Stretching much?

I look forward to the next decade where people like you try to convince yourselves the SX was anything special. It’s another console that, despite a mountain of sunk cost, failed to deliver something the market was interested in.

The Xbox brand has been crashing and burning for over a decade. Bad decisions after bad decisions were obfuscated under MS’s money and populistic PR coming from Phil and its minions

The best-case scenario is that people like Little Chicken are playing a character; otherwise, they are the perfect example of the damage caused by a delusional narrative built all this time.

And it's not over. This kind of fake push and narrative is happening again with the Play Anywhere initiative. Is it inorganic, or plain and simple hive-mind behavior? Truly fascinating.
