This. Because it’s more powerful….. but…. yes your x360 games will all be visited even on a series S. if that’s all you need it for and some d maybe some descent and interesting indies and JRPGs on gamepass, series S is just fine.If youre gonna get one just get a Series X.
if you already have a Gaming laptop there's no point in getting a Series S that will play worse version of same games
Also the 360 games you brought up have superior PC versions.
Personally I would fish for PC deals and build something that rivals the Pro for a similar price (700 to 1000)
How is that trolling? Or are you doing that thing where is somebody disagrees with you they must be trolling?OK troll
I'm considering getting a Series S
I genuinely don’t like the controller. Nothing I said is false. There is no gyro, the buttons are way too loud just like blue switches, batteries are annoying and require you to purchase something extra to bypass them, and the dpad is shit. Microsoft have literally never made a good dpad while every other major gaming console manufacturer have.
Xbox gamepads beats PS gamepads right off the bat due to better ergonomics. Almost all games use LS as default movement control (left hand) while face buttons are the main function buttons (right hand) to go along with triggers. So Xbox's gamepad leads to natural hand layouts.Huh? The Series controllers are some the best around and I think the d-pad noise reminds of the lovely sound when it gets with microswitches controllers
1. yes, it struggles. Series S games have considerably lower resolution and performance in almost any demanding game. A friend of mine who's an absolut casual gamer saw a night and day difference when he played Dragon's Dogma 2 on the S and then on the X. He sold it shortly afterwards and got an X for like 350EUR.
- How is the performance on the Series S generally speaking compared to the X? Does it struggle running recent games?
- Is it true that some or even most of the X360 generation is playable on the Series with better performance?
More specifically, would I play be able to play games that are stuck in that generation, like for example Deus Ex Human Revolution and Fallout New Vegas, but with better performance?
- Would I be able to use the same Game Pass Ultimate subscription on my laptop?
I've never had that issue with Nintendo and PlayStation dpads (as well as stuff like 8bitdo) but okay sure nor have I ever had a swollen battery. The only controller I've ever had battery issue with were my DualShock 3s after like 6 years in which case it was time for a new one anyways. Nor is gyro useless as it makes stuff like FPS on controller much more accurate but okay sure useless.
Xbox has the only D-pad that allows smooth circular motions (without giving blisters with extensive use) in addition to precise directional presses. Having built-in batteries that require charging between uses is worse than swappable batteries that can be switched on the fly and condemn the controller to needing a replacement years down the road as aging battery fails to hold a charge and balloons out of proportion causing internal damage. Gyro is kind of useless unless it has motion controls built-in as in the case of VR and Wii controllers.
Depending on your age, you must have been fortunate enough to experience god-tier electronics throughout your lifePicked up the S last Christmas for my son and it NEVER gets touched my WORST electronics purchase EVER
loool no, it the most obnoxious controller ever.Huh? The Series controllers are some the best around and I think the d-pad noise reminds of the lovely sound when it gets with microswitches controllers
i love my series s, &, yeah, this. it's a tertiary box...Since the Xbox Series is a Retrobox, the S is just fine. But dont try to play any new game.
well, if you've never owned an xbox before, the series s is like a mini-xbox-greatest-hits collection...Why the fuck would anyone buy an Xbox at this point?
Think you're scraping the barrel there, but whatever.loool no, it the most obnoxious controller ever.
its not just the horrible dpad noise either, analogs constantly hit their rims stupidly loud too.
whole thing is a clicky clacky nightmare if you are in a room with someone else.
I like both pads and don't have issues with either myselfXbox gamepads beats PS gamepads right off the bat due to better ergonomics. Most games dont even use dpad in important ways except for secondary functions. Some games dont even use dpad at all. So to have that part as the left hand resting position makes no sense. It did make sense during the PS1 days when most games used dpad as the main controls and not everyone even had analog gamepads to begin with, since they werent standard. I had two regular PS1 gamepads.
I think you're trying to find the smallest issue to point score and the final part of your post just confirms it for me.How is that trolling? Or are you doing that thing where is somebody disagrees with you they must be trolling?

I have a Series S I paid $150 for. It's been OK. It's run most things I throw at it well. No real slow downs.
Verizon? I also got one for $150 back in the day. I think at $150 it's a no brainer even if it's just a BC machine which is what I used it for before Gamestop somehow gave me like $225 for it.I have a Series S I paid $150 for. It's been OK.
