Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Launched to “Very Positive” reviews on Steam

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Also, I don't know what the fuck some of these reviewers were doing or were talking about (well actually, I do because they are incompetent), but you can obtain a gun and plenty of ammo in the very first level if you explore enough and find a key.

You agree that this is more of an immersive-sim than not right?

I'm not in the minority thinking that?

Yep it is. I identified at least 4 different paths to make it through the first level (there are probably more). You also have a variety of ways to handle the guards given all the tools scattered throughout the level. Full stealth (without being detected at all) was definitely an option if you made it up to the upper path early, but that would have meant bypassing exploring a lot of the level, so you'd miss key items like the skill books and the gun.

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those games where it will take a while for players to find all the different secrets and methods in which each level can be tackled.

Not many people who had access to both played the GP version of Palworld (other than to try it out), but bought the Steam version because the Steam version was several patches ahead of the GP version with more features. STALKER is a series that has a long history on Steam.

Anyways, enjoy your warring over Indy now. I'm done arguing over it. I'll enjoy you all gushing over it when the Pro version drops in a few months.
Indy is a good game. You are definitely overselling it though.

Yea this was honestly my concern as I get deeper into the game, but I was withholding judgment until I played more.

Didnt vets from this dev work on Chronicles of Riddick?!

Yes. It's the riddick guy and it screams of it. I can't believe we have got such an original game in a beloved ip in 2024. This game is far from safe and some will love. Others will hate.

The ai can be tweaked a lot and it's requires it which kinda sucks imo but they probably made it as easy as possible for all the dummies used to playing AAA games now. And to also take the piss out of nazis and fascists.

I was originally excited to see the makers of Wolfenstein tackle Indiana Jones, but stealth and first person melee are my kryptonite.

If it helps, the combat feels secondary to the adventure and you can tune it how you want.

Plus the punching is actually really fun and easy too. It feels amazing to punch these nazis

That’s why some reviews compared the game to the latest Hitman games.

I'd actually say the raw hand to hand combat is the weakest aspect of the game. It's no Dark Messiah, that's for sure.

There's a reason there are so many weapons and bottles scattered about, you're supposed to use them if you end up in combat scenarios, but the moment you're left without a weapon the whole system just feels clumsy.

I dunno, I can see what your are saying but I am loving raining nuclear punches on Nazis. Ive levelled up my punching and i'm a beast even on hard.

Those sound effects LMAO!

Maybe it gets better after leveling up/progressing but for now I'm sticking to stealth and using the various tools scattered around the levels.

Because for the opening couple of levels the raw hand to hand stuff feels terrible on the very hard difficulty level. I find it easy to look past that though as it very much feels like something you should only do in last resort scenarios.

Anyone who has a basic level of competence in immersive-sim/stealth games should be playing this on very hard difficulty.
My experience with AI on very high.

I mean, I love the game very much, but enemy AI is a set of very basic scripts and the only thing that difficulty slider changes is the proximity of said scripts.

Yeh, I'll just stick to stealth then.

Thief, Indiana Jones edition it is.
Egypt is way more action-oriented so prepare yourself.
I don't think it would be as fun with high end AI.
Problem with dumb AI that in the second global hub game is becoming too predictable and even tedious. Good thing that the exploring is also way better in Giza chapter to disctract you from the core gameplay issues.

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.

No.
Wrong. It actually does. My Steam version also unlocked the same achievement in Xbox.

Although, I didn't get an actual Xbox notification. It just shows up in the Xbox app.

I would say Machine Guns have nailed the AI if you are looking for an authentic recreation of the mental capacity of the Nazi grunts from the films ..

This is my thing. I genuinely feel like the game is mocking them. They are there to be made fun of.
