It's already late December and Nintendo still hasn't given any hints about the reveal of the Switch's successor

the wait consumes me.

One final Christmas push for the OG Switch to anyone who still doesn't know the successor is imminent.

Why on earth would Nintendo gamble the holiday cash cow on an early reveal? Better to milk the Switch under the Christmas tree first, then toss us a bone next year.

Completely agree

This isn't like the 3DS in 2016 where sales were drying up.

Why would Nintendo shoot themselves in the foot and lose out on big holiday Switch sales?

People just need to stay patient. Once the Christmas 12 day returns period is up then Nintendo should talk/show.

They are waiting for the school year to start to announce it, so kids can keep talking about it. Smart of you ask me!

Nintendo are too busy having fun going after emulator devs and some random kid playing Princess Peach Showtime! on Ryujinx at the moment.

It'll be announced soon I'm sure. I can't imagine it will be announced until the new year since the Switch is still selling by the bucket load. It would be pretty silly to announce a new console right before Christmas, when people are out buying the current console. Any announcement at this point could put new sales at risk and no company in their right mind would want that.

They want to sell as many switches as possible for the holidays, why hurt those sales for a slightly earlier reveal?

To be fair, sometimes Nintendo just DOES things that seem to fly in the face of logic.

Just follow the trail of money, and it always makes sense.

When people say "I don't understand why Nintendo does or doesn't do X, they must hate money" the answer is because, in fact, that behavior results in more money.

It's crazy how this thing has kept on trucking for sooo long. In this day and age!

Despite everything, the announcement of an announcement will be shocking.

I can understand this situation, creating a successful successor to Switch must be a real pain in da ass
Everything must be at the right place in the right time to conquer a very difficult and vast user base

Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition says that the Switch ain't dead yet (to me).

On the other hand, it also says that the Wii U is truly dead now.

it's already mid march 2025 and Nintendo still hasn't given any hints about the reveal of the switch's successor (i hope this ages badly)

March 31 is closing in fast, and I assume we'll see it before the absolute latest possible date.
