Xbox boss Phil Spencer has praised HBO's The Last of Us Series, saying he thinks a successful video game adaptation is a great moment for the industry.

In a new interview with IGN, Spencer said the show is "fantastic" and he thinks the team behind The Last of Us have done a great job transferring the story from the original PlayStation video game to a television drama, calling out Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann in particular.

Well, it's fantastic...and I also think that the fact that Neil himself has played a role...to see him applying his creative talents in the TV space I think is really great. It's great for him, it's great for the team

What is wrong with ”Fill“? This guy really talks too much. Almost every other day he talks in a different interview, no wonder they are not releasing games. The only thing he is doing correctly is PR.

Yeah I hear that. I’ve requested a few Activision acquisition ones to be put into the OT and mods have done that, but at least that’s pretty established as the main area for it. A “Phil Says OT” may need deployed but at least quotes from the same interview shouldn’t be parsed out constantly.

I wish the Halo TV show stayed faithful to its lore rather than be some CW garbage. Maybe if Halo TV show respected its audience and stayed to its roots it would have been just as successful as The Last of Us, but alas piss poor management and disrespect to the franchise are what made the TV show a failure.
