But this not a combat game. Its an openworld RPG, a real one, you know, with different outcomes of sidequests depending on yr actions and such things. Combat is just one part of this game and I am honestly super fine when the combat isnt too complex for a pleb like me. If I want to play a game only for combat...I agree, there are certainly lots of way better alternatives. But there is unfortunately not really much other alternatives to a game like KCD.
I get what you say, but you don't need to be a dedicated combat game to have gore, marks and just a more brutal looking combat in a realistic medieval simulator, there is no written law that say that a first person rpg can't have that.
Tlou2 is not a game where you fight every 30 sec, you have long stretch of walking, exploration, scavenging and you can avoid most combat with stealth and yet it has some of the best "realistic" gore around, hell i'm pretty fucking sure that you fight more in 50-100 hours of kc2 than the 25 hours of tlou2.
Why? Because they want to depict how harsh amd violent a post apocalyptic scenario would look, pretty much what kc2 try to do with medieval times.
Since when a game genre define if it can have gore or not?
