ok seriously, I think you guys have to tell us about any sponsorships or brand deals for this company before posting lol They cutting you a check for this marketing?
^ This.
Say it louder for the rest of the Warhorse marketing team in the comments here lol I find any team marketing DLC before a game's release in poor taste. To openly be showing worked on content that could be in the game before its release to nickel and dime consumers is rarely going to be seen as seen as some positive thing, well maybe for company that is getting paid (or some of the users getting paid by the company lol) This went from a day 1, to a maybe, to a nope for me.
The issue is they already release a shitty subpar product, we get it will have a bit of jank and that is fine, but you can't have that shit AND withhold content to sell back to consumers AND star talking shit to your own fucking base of consumers, its like...buddy, that fucking first game has too many issues to be this bold as to talk down to consumers this way as if this game is releasing solid.
So right now, we'll wait for that complete edition, gold edition etc, I'm not paying full price for some early access shit man.
If clearly they are not done, I can wait. Lots of solid games releasing this year by more trusted established teams, so I got to cancel that pre-order because of this.
They deserve that drop in Steam.
Wolves hunt in packs
what I find is not the DLC existing as an issue, its merely that its worked on to this extreme degree PRIOR to the game's release. It means their focus was on selling post launch content that is already named, has footage, playable elements etc, that trailer feels in poor taste cause clearly they could have just started the DLC when this game was completed.
So lets say release it ending of this year with that content...THEN start that DLC after the release, to do it this way shows their intent was to withhold content to sell back at an additional price on something clearly that could have simply be put in the base game. So we'll wait till they are actually really done with the game as I don't have time to be playing no game twice cause DLC lol
I'll just buy it used next year and factor the DLC price into it so I'm paying less then full price for 100% of the content. They still get paid, I still get the full experience.
