Never once did I ever want Nintendo wasting resources to take a side character, no matter how important and make that person a hero of a game.

I was in until I saw the combat. I'll wait to see impressions when it comes out, but just summoning stuff doesn't appeal to me.

What a relief to have a good Zelda game again. It's not the romance of the three kingdoms/Tenchu hybrid I wanted for Zelda's solo debut but it looks great anyway.

It's a cool announcement. But it's a pass for me. No way to directly attack and you just have to conjure fighters to battle for you, that's just not what I want from a Zelda game. Oh well. It's cool that Zelda is the main protagonist!

I'll hold off til the next, more traditional one.

Zelda is still a dignified priestess-princess, she was not ruined as an action girl.
Use the engine & art direction to remake Link to the Past next.

I ain't the biggest fan of the Link's Awakening remake and its artstyle, but the echo gameplay mechanic looks fun. Will probably get this one... well who am I kidding, I have played every Zelda mainline game since the SNES days, so shut up and take my money.

wasting a whole zelda game to appease the woke generation, why couldn't we just get a traditional Zelda game that we the fans been calling for the last 10 years, fuck you Nintendo.

P.s a link between worlds was one of the best Zelda games of time and one of my favourite games ever, why couldn't we just get a sequel to that,

Ill be very curious to see sales numbers for this one

Nintendo Girl Boss Gaming tm

Do we know if that Princess Peach Showtime has sold like gangbusters?

I never really desired to play as Zelda and when I first saw this I was hoping it was a remake of the original game in the Link's Awakening style (which I like okay but am not a huge fan of, but figured since it was established already they would use it again). However the game does look interesting enough and I like the idea of semi dynamic results based on what objects you are creating. It could be good and I will keep my eye on it for sure, but I'd also like to see new traditional 2D Zelda.

Glad they didn't just have her fight with swords and bows, that new gameplay idea has a ton of potential. I could have done without the LA remaker artstyle though.

Nintendo making a female lead correct and without making a he/her/she/shim. All the Western Devs, Reeeeeeeeeee and gaming journo trans simps are so mad right now

Some on Resetera very upset that Zelda doesn't have a sword and appears to spend a lot of time rearranging furniture rather than fighting directly herself.

If it was woke she'd be the hero-warrior with the sword and shield. She also wouldn't be rescuing link, but instead some kind of vague selfish motivation of "being a good person" or some shit.

Definitely didn't expect a new mainline Zelda. Looks fun, but I'm not sold on the new mechanics. Looks like a simplified BotW/TotK to me right now.

I'll definitely play it though.

This is fucking retarded on so many levels. You have one job, Nintendo.. why must you keep neutering the Zelda franchise and be pussies about not using actual weapons (you know, a sword that won't break like a toothpick), to even now completely omit any form of weapon??
Fuck right off , Nintendo. Your bitch mitten ways are insufferable now.

Not sure how much fun duplicating entire objects will be. Its no TOTK for sure.

Maybe they have good level design. Else looks like it will get old fast.

Not sure how I feel about the apparent lack of direct combat ability but it does sound pretty neat overall. Will probably give it a whirl.

Hate the artstyle though. Mostly the dumb faces.
