Can't imagine it's doing much better on PSN.

Maybe cool it with all the Horizon releases, Sony, before you burn everyone out on the IP.

Lmao Horizon is not as big IP as fangay Hermen Hulst thinks it is.
i mean...Forbidden West that released in march has 1,556 people playing right now (Lego Horizon has 285 people lmao) and peaked at 40k back when it released (a game that released on PC 2 or 3 years after its original release) so i don't think this measures anything. People just aren't interested in a Horizon Lego game.

These numbers really mean nothing. They are super arbitrary. Lego games sell for the long run. I suggest we stop having hard ons for #'s. Unless its EA and Ubisoft of course, then we communally tell them to fuck off. And Nintendo too (cause why not?)

I think you're right, but 602 peak users is astonishingly bad even when taking that into account. That's lower than Concord and less than 1% of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
It is. Especially for a game that released day 1 on Steam. If it was a late port like Sackboy it would be more understandable.

I love Horizon, I love good Lego games and I have little to no interest in this games right now.

I think the sales for this will be Switch > PS > PC.

I don't think it'll sell great overall though.

Where are they then?

This game isn't going to sell well anywhere.

Like I said in the review thread, complete waste of time. Herman is high off his own supply.
Sony first party title means that largest audience would be coming from a Sony console. The fact that it's Lego and aimed at kids means the Switch would be the next biggest audience.

Not rocket science, brother.

Good luck competing with Nintendo exclusives kid lmao.

Even Lego Harry Potter was doing those numbers, and the lego 1-4 before the fake remaster weren't they?

This will have to probably be assessed against the Switch if we get those numbers.

Normally, I roll my eyes whenever I see a thread on Steam from someone complaining about the price of a game but in this case I agree that the £59.99 price for this is just stupid, especially a game that is predominantly aimed at younger players.

This really should have been £24.99 or £29.99 at most to make it a far more appealing purchase for parents of younger gamers. Microids for example sell their Smurfs games at this price point. The recent The Smurfs - Dreams is just £24.99 on Steam and that is a licenced game too.

I see no reason for why this game should cost nearly £60 personally. It might have the LEGO licence but it isn't Star Wars, Harry Potter or DC/Marvel that might inflate the cost of licencing it. It's just sheet greed in my view and will only lead to lower sales because of it.

This is absolutely a "Wait for a Sale" in my opinion.

It's not even the lowest Lego game.
The only "big" one seems to be a Star Wars one.

I mean sure, but when it's leveraging the Horizon IP and Sony's marketing and still peaking lower than Lego Brick Tales, Lego 2K Drive, and Lego Builder's Journey, it's not a good sign.

They were aiming for NINJAGO levels of players, instead they're left with Harry Potter collection.

What the fuck is NINJAGO?

Even the Harry Potter Collection was just a bundled re-packaging of old Lego Harry Potter games though. If a new Lego Harry Potter game was created with a larger budget for modern audiences, I'm sure it'd see much better numbers ala Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Lego will probly do its best numbers on the Switch.

It might, but those are bound to be underwhelming as well. If you're buying a licensed Lego game for your kids you go for a license they actually know and love, like Batman or Star Wars. Those games are also likely to be cheaper.

Lego games sell for the long run because they are based in super popular franchises that new generations keep re-discovering.

This... is Horizon. Nobody wanted this, nobody cared about it.

Ok cool, I'll remind you of bomba when bomba inevitably happens.

I'm Team #FuckHermit but wasn't it LEGO who wanted to do this and started communications, not the other way around?

He could have said no, this sounds like a waste of everyones time and money.

Where is that fella thread with high demand for Lego Horizon?

Lego will probly do its best numbers on the Switch.

Willing to bet it will do worse on Switch since they have to compete with premium family games like Mario games(party just launch recently too).

Did I miss something? Why does GAF hate Horizon so much? Is it just because they made Aloy’s personality kind of insufferable in Forbidden West?

I don’t recall a hate boner like this after HZD.

Eh, both Zero Dawn and Forbidden West were somewhat divisive.

But the bigger issue now I think is franchise burnout and the fact that Sony first party is going through a bit of a drought right now.

Yeah, I think it’s a mix of more “HR in the room” in Forbidden West and it being more of the same as OG game, but with a worse story.

Couple that with Sony determined to make Horizon one of their main IP pillars.
