I can't wait to see the sales for Loco Roco. Didn't it launch on the 13th????

So that gives it 4 days of sales for the 10-16 July week.

Will the PSP finally get the push it needs in Japan??

Will Loco Roco be the PSP's BT????

Really, I wouldn't count on it. It sold about the same about as Project Hacker in the first day (~10,000), and that was kinda considered a failure.

Wow, that is it. I thought it will sell between 20000-30000 on the first day, with all the advertisments it is getting. It looks like a fun game, although I don't have a PSP.

Yea, but as I saw someone mention; Releasing Loco Roco on PSP and expecting it to sell good is like releasing a Adult-game on GameCube - it's just not that audience (primarily, of course). It will sell, but not nearly as good as if it were on another platform.

For RE series (so far), I agree that RE4 is #1.

But I still like Fire Emblem dan Zelda series better than other series (NSMB included). I just prefer Turn-based strategy games, and Zelda series. (maybe I should change my name into Zeldafreak ???)

The normal DS has been fluctuating like that for many weeks now...supplies must be all over the place! Quite a significant drop for Xenosaga III it would appear, by the way.

I know :p But I heard a lot of people thinking Loco Roco would be THE game to save the PSP in Japan from DS-domination. With that in mind, it bombed :p

Project Hacker did 10k on day 1 (they both did), so I'm quite surprised it reach that sales for the week.

If anyone thinks ANY game will save PSP from Japan DS-domination they're insane.

No need to keep making up mini-victories when DS is selling like it is.

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
I guess that's it for bitGenerations. LocoRoco did do all that well either. This is almost a sad day for gamers, but NSMB and Persona 3 save the day. :D

The problem is that GAF hypes a game so much, many get convinced the game will do extremely well or will save the system it's on. And Loco Roco is a perfect example of that.

Hyping the quality/fun factor of a game != hyping up near impossible situations like PSP miraculously starting to sell more than the DS.

I've never heard anyone single message board poster (and you know how credible they are!) make this claim... in fact, I've heard multiple people saying it will most likely bomb.

I remember someone calling the Loco Roco pack a savior for the PSP in Europe.

(I will try and search the quote, but there are so many Loco Roco topics... :?)

At last, baseball outsold Persona 3 as I expected, although 150k opening isn't that good compared to other years. Persona 3 digestibility sounds very good, maybe it skips the inmense drop-offs of VPS and X3 thanks to that.

Good/normal numbers for Tekken, Million Monkeys, Project Hacker, Gundam, Naruto...LocoRoco is really dissapointing, it had a lot of advertising didn't it? :(
