Have they all made the jump to PS4? Or is there something they're waiting for?Vinnk's Village?
10. PS4 is capturing a lot of mind share. It's all my Japanese gamer friends talk about most of the time.
Snowball into what?Awesome! This is the kind of game that could start a snowball effect.
I can't say I'm surprised or even disappointed, at this point. Hudson (now nd Cube) and Nintendo really went out of their way to give people Mario Party fatigue and playing with the formula as much as they have didn't exactly give anyone a reason to be excited. To the people who complain about annualized franchise releases? Here is your prime example of exactly what happens.
I'm pretty sure it's done now.
Thank you!
Do you have May 18 - May 24 all Hardware?
New 3DS and N3DS, Two separate data
P.S.: Sorry for my bad english

@vinnk
Glad to have a Vinnks Village again !!
PS. The podcast episode a couple of weeks ago where your wife was on was great...heh.
Just looking at the sales of DQ 4-6 on DS and DQ7 on 3DS - why would you expect a 40% drop on DQ8 just like that?
YSO predictions
Week 23, 2015 (June 1 - June 7)
[WIU] Splatoon < 60k
[3DS] Stella Glow < 30k
[PSV] Shiren the Wanderer 5 Plus < 15k
I'll update everything tomorrow.
People expected it to release in 2015? Wow, lol.
That's a solid hold for Splatoon, though I wonder if WoM won't push it up just a little bit higher! (I can be optimistic when duckroll isn't around!)
I wonder what it will have as a digital ratio, seeing as it had supply issues but is also only 2GB large.
I'll be subbing in for duckroll real quick....
*snatches optimism*

What? I'm here. Also, Terra Battle rocks. Shouldn't you save your account transfer info on your PC or something?

I mean that's what I figure, so I'm curious what anyone thinks this will snowball intonothing!
Interesting! Do you know anything about any of your less "gamer" inclined friends? People more casually interested perhaps? Do they have something they're waiting for or do they not care?I know that my gamer friends all already have picked up PS4s. They bought them either with DQW or, some, at launch~ish time. I don't think anyone I know at uni there who's into gaming hasn't already more or less picked up their console(s) of choice.
Vinnk's Village?
1. Splatoon sold out or in short supply at the local game stores. But still available at the department stores.
2. Aeon Mall which is normally not known for doing game promotions (or having many games) at all has set up a sizable Splatoon display. I will try to get a photo.
3. Splatoon Amiibos sold out at all store I checked. I managed to get the last Squid Boy and couldn't find the other 2 at all.
4. Wii U in good supply. Not sold out anywhere.
5. Lots of used WiiUs available. To tell the truth, Splatoon might have moved a lot of WiiU hardware. Used ones. With the low prices and availability it makes sense to buy a used one for Splatoon. That's what my friend did this week.
6. For the first time since Smash, elementary school students are talking about a Wii U game. Kids without WiiUs are watching Splatoon on Youtube (which sound super boring to me if you haven't even played it).
7. Retro store in general seem to be not doing well (other than big chains like Mandrake). Since I last posted a Vinnk's Village (2 years ago?) about half of the retro store I used to go to have closed or removed their retro sections.
8. Most seen (non-smartphone) Vita game on the train: Minecraft. In fact I haven't really seen anyone playing anything else on the Vita for a while. Not that I see a lot of Vitas OR 3DSs. It's all smartphones these days.
9. Most of the street passes I get are for Yokai Watch 2 (this is over 60% of all the passes I get).
10. PS4 is capturing a lot of mind share. It's all my Japanese gamer friends talk about most of the time.
11. Xbox 1 is only sold in 2 stores in my town and I have never actually witnessed anyone buying one or a game. 360 on the other hand does pretty well at the used game stores and most of them still have a dedicated section.
10. My daughter is old enough to play games on her own now. Her current favorite: Kirby Rainbow Curse.

Something called "n/a --data still processing" is showing up as a popular free app and high grosser on App Annie so I'm guessing we'll get Mobius data soon.
Let me update my good Nintendrone friends.
Splatoon
Amazon: sold out again, new stock on June 8. http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00VDVY1C8/
Yodobashi: quickly running out of stock, will Nintendo send a new shipment for the weekend? http://www.yodobashi.com/ec/product/stock/100000001002682130/index.html?isRanking=1
Quick question GAF, which publication should I believe more, Media Create or Famitsu?
Apparently:Quick question GAF, which publication should I believe more, Media Create or Famitsu?
Here are the differences between the trackers:
Media Create:
+ Nationwide Japanese sales data from Media Create Co., Ltd.
+ Tracks more than 3,000 retail stores / chains
+ Top 20 software sales with numbers
+ Top 50 software sales without numbers
+ Total hardware sales per platform
+ Sometimes presents sell-through figures
+ Releases first (at the same time as Famitsu)
+ Nintendo uses these numbers in their investor presentations
+ Distinguishes between 3DS and 3DS LL
+ Distinguishes between Vita and Vita TV
- Does not track download cards
- Does not provide software sales figures past the Top 20
Famitsu:
+ Nationwide Japanese sales data from Enterbrain, Inc.
+ Tracks about 3,600 retail stores / chains
+ Top 30 software sales with numbers
+ Total hardware sales per platform
+ Sell-through ranges for all titles
+ Has the most historical data available for GAFfers
+ Tracks download cards
+ Releases first (at the same time as Media Create)
- Does not distinguish between 3DS and 3DS LL
- Does not distinguish between Vita and Vita TV
- Does not report total software sales
Apparently:
Whichever one a favored game doing better.
Btw, we've created a group for the donations to buy the Media Create White Book 2015. I don't know if there's someone else who would like to contribute. A small amount is welcomed too.

Currently showing up at #3 on free apps and #20 on top grossing on iOS for me.Something called "n/a --data still processing" is showing up as a popular free app and high grosser on App Annie so I'm guessing we'll get Mobius data soon.
It's become pretty much the only Nintendo game series I can think of that truely lives up to the internet ranting about Nintendo only churning out Mario games. I haven't enjoyed the series since the Gamecube. Wii Party U was an okay substitute.People have stopped buying it due to the drop in quality. Nobody likes the car mechanic. Nobody likes the fact that, in 2015, the series still doesn't have online play. It's an old relic that should just be retired if they're not going to do it justice.
Interesting! Do you know anything about any of your less "gamer" inclined friends? People more casually interested perhaps? Do they have something they're waiting for or do they not care?
I'm sorry I'm being so mean to you Vena!
Haha. Agreed .
On a more serious note, Nintendo & Sony seem to reference Media Create #s, so take that for what it's worth.
sorry bumped old thread
lol i been doin that lately, damn tabbed browsing!Fuuuuuck. I didn't see the date either. You tricked me. Goddamnit!
Then that'd be the same game as I was seeing earlier. Thanks!Currently showing up at #3 on free apps and #20 on top grossing on iOS for me.
