Naughty Dog's next game will offer lots of player freedom - you are not ready for how amazing it looks

Cheeks Spread for Digital Only Future
you mean i wont be trapped in endless walking sections with endless inane npc banter?
Finally free to walk around and
"we need something to help us get up there"
find
"we need to get to higher ground"
a ladder.
Pick up the ladder and slowly walk it
"maybe use that ladder"
over to the
"the ladder might work"
wall.
Miss placing it at the exact spot required for it to work.
"Maybe use the ladder"

If it is last of us 3, I'll be happy if they give me the option between a golf club and a baseball bat

TLOU3: Marimacho's Revenge, first she went for Joel's head, now it's time to finish her job and annihilate Ellie once and for all 💉💪🏌️‍♂️⛳⚰️

The open areas in U4 and TLOU2 felt like ND dipping their toes into open-world design. And Neil’s comments on Elden Ring make me think it’s definitely possible

I am sure graphically it will be cutting edge as always. However, will it be a wokefest or an actual normal game with no virtue signaling? Would love to see a return to Uncharted with Nate and Sully but I don’t think that will ever happen sadly.

ND are some of the best devs in the world so I don't doubt them at all. I'm just tired of hearing how amazing their next game will be, I wanna see it now.

Hopefully this means Naughty Dog are taking on-board the criticism of their hyper-linear style, and giving players something resembling agency. Of course, old habits die hard, and I fear "greater player freedom" will just equate to open areas where your free to murder things in whatever order you want before arriving at the trigger point for the next over-produced cut-scene that ignores everything you did, or did not, do. As for the visuals, I'm sure it'll look great.

No matter your thoughts/feeling on Naughty Dog games, you can't deny that they've consistently released some of the best looking games over the last 2-3 generations.

Please, not another Sony the game press O to win. With he budget they have I would like to seen them trying something completely new.

There was a time when I was was excited for every sony game, until about the middle of the PS4 generation. Now I have to wait and see if they will ruin it.

Im not ready?

I’m not ready to be forced into objectives like talking to bar owners that said poopy words to my lesbian character and then be offered… (checks notes) “bigot sandwiches” 🥪

The heavy handedness of TLOU2 just really put me off to ND.

He's talking about Zelda, right? It's Zelda.

I know their next game is medieval fantasy, so it would make sense with a Zelda-like game.

During the latest episode of the MinnMax Show on YouTube, host Ben Hanson mentioned hearing a few things about the next game from Naughty Dog, including comparison to “a game with a lot of player freedom”.

Hanson heard from somebody very in the know who worked on the next Naughty Dog game that people are not ready for how amazing it is going to be. He also mentioned that the game that were referenced as a point of comparison to Naughty Dog’s title has a lot of player freedom.

Naughty Dog president and game director, Neil Druckmann, had shared that the studio’s next game is really ambitious. He added that parts of the game are really hard to work on. However, he said that he has surrendered to knowing that it is going to be really hard and to knowing that it is going to be stressful for members of the development team.
But will it have top scars and customizable shlong on body types A and B?

You really don’t want to talk about awards and the last of us. Move on, brother.
It’s just so hard to move on, no other game makes me feel… I dunno… so “grown up.” Such a lack of deep stories that feature award winning missions with bigot sandwiches

TLOU and TLOU2 still probably have the best character animations and models. I have no doubt.
Agreed, the contextual animations based on movement and inertia in relation to the environment is unmatched. I’m actually playing through the remaster of 1 right now and it’s so good. The second is even better in the animation department. Ellie walking against a kitchen counter and her putting her hand up against it is such a small detail but the amount of work involved to create that system was probably monumental.

Nice, TLoU2 is still Sony's jewel, always excited what ND will make and how far ND pushes the medium.

Not going to play it on launch as I have no plans to get a Pro as after the recent remasters of remakes Sony is obsessed with, I will never have to worry to play "the director's cut" (aka the best & most complete) version of any Naughty Dog or first party studio on PC. Not today but someday, it'll be there on Steam. This will come as well and will be glorious.

It's coming as I write this.

ND immersive sim confirmed? I am hyped. TLOU 2 was clearly the direction out of the linearity that was Uncharted. Hope they retain their ambition that got them GOTY.

Good. But i hope its gameplay and tech related freedom and it does not mean force and pushing for twisted woke agenda especially twisted gender ideology.

Can’t wait to see what Naughty Dog has been cooking up. 4 years since TLoU: Part II feels like a long time, but hopefully we are close to the reveal of their next project.
