New AAA PlayStation Studio established in LA

I Love La Los Angeles GIF by Randy Newman

- Big reveal of new AAA studio with "a thrilling mix of industry veterans and new talent". A few ex-bungies will relocate.

- 6 months later: Some details on the project that "implements Sony's premium narrative into the service model"

- 2 years later: logo reveal. Purple neon in it, maybe some flames.

- 3 years later: First leaks. The game looks like shit. The media defend it and call people the usual names.

- A bit later: project reboot, a new director comes in.

From there, the future branches out but as it stands right now, every path leads to studio shutdown in 2029.

PCS
Playstation Commiefornia Studio

Funny thing, my phone actually offered me Commiefornia as a suggestion 🤔

Does the game dev apparatus still want to live in California? If so, it makes sense, but the cost of this place will be nuts. They'll have to do A LOT of outsourcing.

Maybe we're inching closer to a future where the creatives/upper management are in expensive areas while the coders are outsourced elsewhere.

So many awesome, growing cities in America, but we always focus on LA, Bay Area, Seattle, and Austin. No wonder all games have the same writing and characters, they're all made in the same places!

kinda but not quite, last point would be devs defending their piece of trash game and not accepting any criticism, then releasing the game and see it crash and burn in a week, to then be delisted and forgotten...

Man I can wait to see fairgame$ launch week unfolds, another masterpiece under the helm of Hermen "in love with my own game" Hulst, it's gonna be another disaster, the bet is if it'll be worst than Concord or not :pie_roffles:

That means you used it already, a lot of times.

Seriously I've never written it before 😂
I wasn't even too sure how it was spelt and it just popped up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Will probably crank out another soulless live service slop and call it a day. Most likely a studio to avoid in the future.

Well Santa Monica, Insomniac, and Naughty Dog are all in California. Maybe they do have talent there? Idk. It's just expensive as heck!

I look forward to playing their fun fully exclusive non-woke single-player video game forged in the pits of hell.
