The internet being dumb once again is not a surprise, so I'm just going to tell everyone that SIE is literally hosting the PlayStation Partner Awards 2024 Japan Asia event in Tokyo that very same day.

That's not saying that a State of Play couldn't happen on December (it did in 2019 after all), but on the 3rd it ain't.

There is no conflict with this cause it's a ceremony with some developper or director that come to search their trophy.
There is no show of new game at all in this. So a Playstation showcase could happen the same. Especially when the reference date is the launch date in Japan

But the company is pretty busy in that date, I just don't think it makes ANY sense to host a SoP the very same day.
There's a reason the December 2019 SoP did not happen on the 3rd.

That's not every day that you celebrate a company's 30th anniversary

Was not 30th anniversary.
I think 3 decade is more important than 2 and half decade

Only Sony and Nintendo (which 4 and more decade) succeed this.
