Their are 3 different bundles.
2 are $449 and one is $399.
SO i was 2/3 right?
I'll take it as I don't have inside info, just was observing it from a business perspective and what moves Sony has (and hasn't) been doing latelly

Lol. This can't be serious right?Listen to yourselves about Until Dawn. "It needs advertising" it's 2015, nothing needs advertising we have the internet. Face it, US don't go for these kind of games, COD will sell a shit load, Destiny will sell a shit load, Battlefront will sell a shit load. The US market has dug their heels in about which games they'll spend money on, and games like Until Dawn will make up the numbers it needs to profit in other markets.
Lol. This can't be serious right?
I mean, the comment about its viability in an American market might be right, but still. The advertising comment is pure absurdity.
What? No. MS never took the lead. The gap shrank, but Sony was still ahead by hundreds of thousands. Where are you getting that?
that's what I was asking when I said cumulative. so if mS were to take the lead, I guess that'd mean the graph would have to zero out and go negativeNo. They sold ~600K more over Nov/Dec and reduced the gap to ~500K.
Sony has since put on ~300K of that lead again.
At full price.
Was the combination of price and 2 games for free.
I'm sure Tomb Raider will receive a bundle with another game too (maybe Tomb Raider Definitive Edition). If Microsoft keep the price at $349 I think they should be more aggressive and include a third game, or a second game that has more appeal that Tomb Raider DE.
So is PS4 exceeding all expectations at this point? I don't know how it compares to PS2 at the same point in time. The fact that a console with very few new high profile exclusives is selling this well at a higher price point than its competitors is amazing.
Personally I think MS will bundle both TR2 and Fallout 4 in the same bundle to be their big main SKU this Fall.
Personally I think MS will bundle both TR2 and Fallout 4 in the same bundle to be their big main SKU this Fall.
I think their point is "Tomb Raider" the game itself isn't going to help, MS could substitute TR2 with any other new-ish AAA game and this new bundle will have the same effect, heck bundling some games like Fallout 4 will get MS even more sales.

Lol people really want this to do well. Just accept it already.
7k
It's not selling like the Ps2 did in north america? At USA? No
Worldwide I think we can say that it is.

8.) Call of Duty: Black Ops Combo Pack (360, PS3)
WHAT?
I live in the states (but not in a cave) and I thoroughly believe that uncharted is a much bigger name than it was even 4 years ago.I'm a big fan of Uncharted and Playstation and Elena is my waifu, but there is NO way UC4 first month is bigger than Halo 5 first month. Someone wanna do an avatar bet on this?
People who think so, 1. you don't know the states or 2. you live in a cave or 3. you are from ND. or 4. you are a junior and do not know this thread is about the USA only

I would definitely agree during last generation... Halo has always sold like hot cakes.
The difference this generation however is 1. The PS4 is the new dominating console and 2. There are way more huge first person shooters on the market now, so Halo 5 (while I think looks amazing) may not be able to take as many sales from Black Ops/Battlefront.
Only time will tell I suppose
Lol.
I'd bet that there will be -no- Fallout 4 bundle. It'll be like DA:I last year, mostly tv marketing and -perhaps- some DLC ahead of time even though I kinda doubt it.
It could very well be just having the marketing and the access to the Mods feature first. I honestly think that if there was going to be DLC first, they would have gloated about it at E3.
Tomb Raider is going to be the big bundle (beside Halo 5 and Forza), it just makes too much sense to pack in both TR games at $349 for the Holidays.
Not just first month. Halo 5 LTD also will be way bigger than Uncharted 4.
How bigger?
I don't think Halo will sell THAT much more than Uncharted 4 worldwide.

Worldwide I think UC4 will win. In the United States of America, the land of Freedom and Doublecheesebacon burgers it won't. Halo is freedom and I bet it's the main reason xbone keeps selling relatively well.
I'm talking about USA. Halo 5 will at least double Uncharted 4 sales, except if Sony give the game for free in future bundles and Microsoft didn't do the same.
Hehe yeah, figured it was NA after I put a couple more seconds of thought into it.
Halo should definitely sell decently better in the US.
Well if you are comparing the first half of each year to each other, the entry price droped $150, but it is still technically a $50 pricedrop as Kinect bundles still cost $100 more.
For months June-August, the entry price is only $50 lower YOY, though they did introduce a higher $400 1 TB SKU in June as well which has contributed to overall sales....
But yes, the X1 price history is rather convoluted unfortunately
You might be right with the second part, sadly, but I think saying advertising is pointless as we have internet is a little too extreme.
How about a compromise: Advertising on the internet.
Lol.

Exclusives Barely matter at this point. PS4 is the de-facto console for 3rd party gaming this gem. 3rd party games like Madden, COD, MGS, ect are driving the adoption more than any exclusives couldSo is PS4 exceeding all expectations at this point? I don't know how it compares to PS2 at the same point in time. The fact that a console with very few new high profile exclusives is selling this well at a higher price point than its competitors is amazing.
CBOAT leaked this back in December. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=142896430&postcount=33

What do you think having the biggest game player on Youtube play the game is? You don't seriously think he chose this game because he was curious, do you?
I'm not disagreeing with you that the $50 is the main reason they can keep the gap close, but I think you are dismissing the fact that PS4 had deals and bundles too. He's talking about the fact the even at 350$ the only way they can keep the gap at a reasonable level with the 399$ PS4 in the US is to make continous deals with retailers, give a game for free in specific weeks and other promotions like that.
In this sense the results we're looking at are not due just to a simple 50$ difference.
Not just first month. Halo 5 LTD also will be way bigger than Uncharted 4.
People who don't even own a current console are buying them as collectables.
Only way halo 5 outsells uncharted 4 is by being bundled
PLease clarify - are you talking WW or US only?
Only way halo 5 outsells uncharted 4 is by being bundled
PS4 barely won huh?
So is it a safe bet that Halo will carry XB1 to victory?
Preseason is over too, XB is ready to play now.
This is a NPD thread. Its supposed to be USA only.
Bad news, coach, it looks like September might be another pre-season month, but in October the Xbox can get out there, fight, and then bring home that championship!
