SFIV got 94 due gameplay and not content.Game is lacking in content compared to other fighting games. The roll-out plan isn't really going to do the game favors unless reviewers re-review it at a later date (and I don't even think that has much of an impact on sales).
For sure. Doubt it effects the core at all. I suppose with SFV, we'll see how big the core truly is.
I'm pegging it at mid 70's personally.
With a game like this, the actual gameplay is irrelevant to most reviewers (lets be honest, who actually trusts reviewers to review fighting games?) It's all about content and SFV appeals to the online warrior/core crowd with it's feature set.

That is what matter in SF games.
SF games always have arcade/story mode, versus, training and now online.
SFV is a full featured fighting game.
To be fair I dont remember any SF being compared to MK in reviews.I don't disagree with any of that. I'm there day one. I just think comparisons to MKX will be made in reviews. We'll find out Monday I suppose.

Oh, the embargo for SFV is up Monday? We have a time?
High 80 or 90.
Why do you think It will get lower scores?
I still don't expect much more than 400k.
I'd get a good laugh if a content starved game launching at full price and "future promise" but the type that you had to pay for, would score that much higher than Splatoon or Battlefront or Destiny. Good gameplay isn't an excuse in that scenario. All good games, and all got a shellacking for their lack of content (and two of them gave a lot more for free).
Especially not when MKX is brought in for comparison.
Seeing that the Wii came out almost 10 years ago & people don't stick to the same type of games as they get older. Also just because you played Just Dance or whatever when you had a Wii don't mean that's what you're going to play when you have a PS4.
"When in Rome, do as the Romans do"
Looks like overestimated XB1 and underestimated PS4 and Wii U.[PS4] 189,000
[XB1] 143,000
[3DS] 63,000
[WIU] 33,000

That Life is Strange ratio on the PS4.

Not really surprised considering that's how it look in mini-US as well.

Nirolak OP said:Mario & Luigi: Dream Team: 190,000 [Bowser's Inside Story did 258.1K and then later exploded into super sales. Will be an interesting one to track.]
I honestly don't think XB1 will win another month ever. I don't see it. Unless they combo it with an XB1 slim and Gears 4, while at the same time Sony has absolutely nothing. Thats the only scenario.
IIRC, NPD said that January 2016's total sales for PS4+One+Wii U was around the same (very small difference) as January 2015. What was the total for 2015, again?

It's simple really.
The XB1 is tanking because MS fucked up.
The PS4 is doing very well because Sony nailed it.
Any other kind of "explanation" is just noise.
