Any credible rumors about number of systems shipping for Xbox and PS4 this month? I wonder if 3DS could be #1 in November.
Oh dear.
There are other countries other than America you know?

I didn't know NPD was only tracking the US. Doesn't seem to be any information of that in the OP, maybe I missed something.
I doubt the hold off for AC4 on next gen is enough to cover the losses we have seen on current gen.
At least from what has been indicative in other regions, can't say what the percentage drops are like in the US, but in the UK and France it was ~60% down.
Nintendo needs to do something about this:
We don't know how far apart those platforms are in units, but Wii > Wii U on Skylanders and Wii U beaten by PS3 and 360 on LEGO games...that has to turn around, or Nintendo will have even less 3rd party support.
3DS being the top seller is an absolute possibility. It'll be between that and the 360, that's for sure.
Sure, Pachter himself. Let me quote the note he sent out a couple of days ago:Do you have a source for that?
Sonys decision to delay its Japanese launch frees up as many as 600,000 launch units for redistribution in the West; we expect to see 1.5 1.6 million PS4s in the U.S. on launch day, followed by another 500,000 per month through the end of January. Microsoft may match these quantities, meaning that GameStop is likely to be a huge beneficiary of the supply redistribution.
Danke schön.wal-mart is selling the 4 gig 360 for $100
now lets see the Wii U number, that's what we came here for
Kinda surprised that Lego Marvel and Skylanders are selling better on Wii U than 3DS.
MS PR said:In October, Xbox 360 was the number one selling console in the U.S. market and maintained its lead as the number one console in 2013, selling 166,000 units.
October 2013 NPD highlights:
· Total retail spend on the Xbox 360 platform in October (hardware, software and accessories) reached $283 million, the most for any console in the U.S. (Source: NPD Group, October 2013).
· During the month of October, Xbox 360 held five of the top 10 console game titles, including: Batman: Arkham Origins, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, NBA 2K14, and Grand Theft Auto V (Sources: NPD Group, October 2013).

Cruel.
How far behind Xbox is 3DS on the year to date sales? I know MS plays semantics with the word console, so as to ignore 3DS sales when they claim #1, but I'm wondering who is on top for the year. If that 166k for Xbox is correct, 3DS had quite a leap on it this month.

But the Wii has been a dead platform for 2-3 years now. The Wii U is basically losing to a zombie. I mean, that's a bit hyperbolic, but you get the idea, right?Haven't the previous two Skylanders done best on Wii? Doesn't surprise me at all that many parents would go for the platform they are familiar with.

Xbox 360 4GB on black friday will be $99.
As regular price will take more time, maybe never for PS3.

Assuming they're ahead of the original Xbox, that has to be more than 720K. So, close to a million, minimum?So...
How many is that likely to be? Or at least minimum.

did we ever get numbers of how much GTAV did last month?

Didn't it launch on the 29th?Seems like AC:IV is underperforming.
people still have Wiis even if people aren't buying it new now. It's not exactly surprising there are still sales on it. It just means the audience already has the system. it's a children's game and parent don't care what resolution their kids are playing at. Since they already have the Wii and a Wii U costs 300, they are going to choose the Wii version
Although how much did the 3DS sell in September btw?
~218k
I know that the 4GB 360 is on sale for BF, but there is a mighty big stigma attached to the console after several games have required installs.
I'm betting the 2/3DS will be #1 in November.
Yup. The system basically being dead means little to people who only use the system every once and a while.

Keep in mind this does not include downloads from the e shop. It might be above that indeed. That's actually great for X & Y then. Beating every Pokemon launch apart from the DS entries, and being fairly close to 2 of the DS entries (Diamond/Pearl & HeartGold/SoulSilver). Black & White's launch was ridiculous around the world though...
