holy crap i hate playing the CPU. i can't get any pressure even when i lower the pass blocking and up the break block slider. and even if i do the CPU QB knows where to throw it!

this completely takes the strategy out of blitzing, because the CPU is going to know exactly where to go with the ball. i call a nickle cb blitz, the ball is out of the qb's hand within half a second to the slot receiver. i hot blitz and OLB, the ball is in the TE's hand who the hot routed LB was supposed to be covering in a split second.

hopefully they patch some of the AI issues. i know i'll be spending the majority of my time playing against humans in our online dynasty but there are still going to be times where we have to play the CPU. its not fair

Had my first Hard Commit switch to another school... I didn't think it was possible in this even. Guy was committed to me all year long (Western Michigan)... but then switched to University of Michigan during the post-season recruiting period. Couldn't believe it.

This is the first time I have really gotten into recruiting in an NCAA game. I had a 10-2 season with FIU and ended up landing 2 four star recruits from the pipeline. I was giddy, I had put in all that time throughout my season and landed huge players. Before the preseason I go through my depth chart and come to realize that my four star players are 69's overall... WTF Is it always like this? I mean will these guys improve or did I spend all season picking up 3rd string splinterpickers?

Man, I'm happy I gave up football sports gaming last year.

EA should just patch the Xbox version of Madden 2005 every year with new rosters/jerseys.

Forget the visual tricks.

The only sports games I'll play anymore are Winning Eleven and NHL (last year's was incredible)

Next-gen sports are terrible.

The pursuit angles that the CPU takes at times in this game are down right laughable. I've had a lineman run away from me after I picked off a pass and then proceed to escort me down the field for a TD. They really need to patch the AI in this game...oh and the incredible QB completion %. Otherwise, it's the first "next gen" football game that I've somewhat enjoyed.

Hmmmm... Just got it today from Playasia. Very glitchy. The basics are good, but WTF at the pre snap adjustment screen disappearing at times? So many other bugs. Oh well. That'll be my last EA sports game for quite a while.

I'm gonna have what fun I can with it, but it has definitely burned me.

This game is so damn glitchy! I think even some achievements are glitched, like 1000 points in Legend mode. Also, I did really well in the HS games and was offered a starting role with LSU, but never got the "Become a starter" one...

I got the mascot one by simply starting a game and not even playing a single play.

Oh well, got my legend exported for Madden at least...pretty much the reason I rent this every year.

This happened to me also. I think you have to choose a 2nd or 3rd string role and "become" a starter from there.

Any news on when the two patches will be released? I heard the second patch (the gameplay patch) will drop in September, but the roster patch should be released sometime around now, right?

the 2nd gameplay patch is being submitted to MS/Sony tomorrow. expect it in about 3 weeks (this is according the games producer)

the first patch will likely be out early next week (thursday for PSN i believe)

anyone having problems with this game and live? at least half the time i power on the 360 with this game inside, i cant connect to live and have to power off and on until i can connect. never happens with any other game.

So I've been playing this game for the past 2 months now and it just bugs the shit out of me. If I am facing a Division 2 team and have a 99 avg on defense, they should not be able to block my DL. Plain and simple, it shouldn't happen. The linebacker crew of Vince Williams (97), Nigel Bradham (99) and Nigel Carr (97) should be decimating anyone who comes over the middle and dares to touch the ball.

I honestly think the only real way to get half the defensive achievements is to cheese it and that's disappointing. The return a FG achievement is likewise impossible given the fact the CPU never fails at drilling balls 55+ yards regardless of the kicker.
