I have a friend who's been telling me for quite some time to play this game. I finally caved in and bought it on the last Steam sale, but haven't started it yet. If the upgrade price is reasonable, I'll wait until its release so I can grab it and play the entire game + DLC in a single playthrough. Hopefully it will be as good as it looks!

oh this is good timing! <3 I wanted to play this more and viola, here we are!

I play it on xbox one (even though I have it on steam as you know ;) and I can't wait to make you take more of my money!

I hope they fixed portions of the game getting blocked off. Kinda sucked to not 100% it my first playthrough.

I'll definitely upgrade to this! It looks like a bunch of welcome new features.

Yup, all of that is supported now. Was a huge amount of work, but supporting full backtracking and being able to warp around environments was super important to you guys, so we had to bring that in :)

Certainly upgrading my copy... hopefully it'll be a REALLY SMALL fee... like $5 or something... I don't want to pay too much on this, specially with my shitty country currency being 4x the price of the dollar which , unfortunately, affects the price even on Steam.

Today would have been perfect for a secret release! I would have eaten it alive for my birthday and enjoyed it before The Division. Alas, I'm hoping the upgrade is cheap and I'll look forward to another play through along with the new areas/story/etc!

Awesome, excited to play through this again with new stuff added.

I think $10 is a reasonable upgrade price for existing owners of the game.

Will the definitive version allow us to go back to previous locations for 100%? That annoyed me in the original version

Will upgrade day one to the definitive edition. I can't wait to replay the game for a 3rd time. I love it (i wish i could make an nice avatar from the game for here on Neogaf).

Oh! Just remembered a question. Thomas, any chance there will be a "remove HUD" option in the definitive edition? I know it's pretty minimal as is, but it would make the amazing art easier to take pictures of and save as wallpapers.

So nobody has heard an update about the 360 version?

I can't find a source confirming it's been cancelled, but Q2-Q4 2015 came and went. I'm assuming it's dead, considering the Definitive Edition announcements make no mention of it. Still, I'd be nice to know as someone who wants to play it without asking someone if I can borrow their system.

Native 21:9 support? I'll probably buy the game just for that reason alone, even though I cannot stand platformers.

Having not played the original, I'm curious about how the new difficulty modes will play out. I'm hoping I'll be able to experience the same challenge as the original one, as I heard it was a good challenge. I certainly don't want to play a toned-down version.

Just play the 'Normal' difficulty then, it's the exact same as the original was :)

Honesty i hope it's a 3/5 dollar tag price for update of existing version..
It's not a NEW GAME, it's some new feature on an existing game..
You want to call it dlc (while i honesty would consider it a generous patch) be my guest, but for existing owners this must come at a substa tial discount..
I know some will defend this saying "don't pay, you're not obliged to play this", but feigning ignorance on a problem is not solving it..
We started with an armor on an horse and everybody played it cool, see how dlc have now become more and more part of gaming..
We're now calling definitive edition a large patch for an existing game that was out like 1 year ago or so for the VERY SAME systems..
Honestly i'm not fine with this practice..
