As someone who finished both, I can confidently say Forspoken > Starfield. Neither, is in any danger of winning GOTY, but both are worth a playthrough.

I don’t think that is likely. I think it’s a cost saving thing for PlayStation where the actual usage triggers an activation which then triggers them having to pay for the license & royalties on their side. There’s been something similar for years for playing blu-ray videos on both Xbox and PlayStation. With even higher connectivity, popularity of digital, digital only consoles and situations where people have disc drives but never touch them maybe they extended it so that they don’t have to pay the licenses/royalties for ones that never get used.

My friend was recently able to renew before his expiration date (add time basically) because PS+ was on sale, I haven't tried myself so not sure if it's a new thing for everyone or some offer just for him.I think Im cooked, guys. My subscription is going to end after Black Friday now
EDIT: I just tried on my PS5 it and it works. I went to the PS+ tab, went down to find my plan and upgrade options and when I selected My current plan it asked me if I wanted to add more by buying again. So potentially now we can renew when sales are happening so we don't miss out on the deal. Smart of Sony to do this, it's better to get some money than no money. Last year I let my sub lapse for 4 months while waiting for the next deal. That's money Sony lost, they're finally wising up.

You can always extend, the problem is that sometimes they only offer the discounted prices when your subscription lapses, if you have an active subscription you do not get the discounted prices.
I had the same thing happen to me last year, only when my plus ended, it tarted showing me the discount for renewing extra. The discount wasn't offered for extending it.

That's what I thought, but I wouldn't have been surprised if it had been true.
And that's exactly my point - so much garbage gets posted here that it's hard to distinguish real garbage from the negligible garbage.
The most obvious solution would be to simply include sources. And if that's not the case, I just have to dismiss posted screenshots without a source as nonsense and not pay any further attention to them.
