Can't think of what is worse, gamer girls in denial or girls who think gaming is some kind of weird social disease.

This one girl I know, nice enough, generally takes interest in things I'm doing, but if I mention gaming she just kind of ignores what's said about it, takes on a don't-care attitude, and does her best to derail the conversation to be about something else. Meanwhile she expects 100% interest in every detail of what her best friend's cousin's sister's boyfriend is doing, and all other kinds of random bullshit gossip.

One time on MSN she asked how my weekend was, and I mentioned I was playing Uncharted 2. She sighs, asks what that is. I hook her up with a gametrailers link to the review since the game's so fucking gorgeous a video would be a good idea, and she immediately goes "ah". I'm like "ok, so you didn't even click that link, did you?", and she replies, "why should I?". "Ok then," I say, conversation closed, girl blocked before I say something really damning.

My phone chirps up, oh here come the txts where suddenly she's apologetic about it. They seem pretty hollow save-your-ass type of apologies so I pretty much just ignored them.

Haven't talked to her much since then, and for the most part I'm not very interested in doing so.
