How many percentage of sales of Razer in the US are direct-to-consumer? Because the margins on these are also higher, so Razer could potentially either take the hit or raise prices to maintain higher margins. Bizarre decision.

Probably dont want to undercut retailers. Better move would be to suspend all 3rd party sellers but still sell direct in an effort to keep the price down. But then you piss off retailers. Same goes for Nintendo.

I work in telecom and overnight our hardware vendors just upped prices 20% this week with a revision coming May and a second pricing revision coming June. We move these products in scale and customers are now rethinking strategies. I can only imagine the consumer has less money for these kinds of increases with laptops and luxury items.

The average American will be poorer thanks to Trump's policies - estimated to be $3,800 yearly. GDP is also expected to shrink.

Average Americans have suffered greatly under the free trade policies of the past 30-40 years. That's the point. Entire swathes of the Midwest have become a wasteland as a result of it and in retun they got fentanyl and cheap junk from China.

Ah the usual, "read a book" but no real insight or what to read.
I'd argue that to understand economics you need to have a fundamental understanding of what money actually is. As well as understanding what the difference between money and currency are, what gives it its value, and how it is created as a foundation before even getting into economics otherwise you lack an essential piece of understanding of the monetary system. I could be wrong but I feel a solid grasp on the monetary system is key to economics in general as it underpins everything.
I would suggest starting with Murray Rothbard's, "What has Government Done to Our Money" and then his other book, "The case Against the Fed." Then for an even deeper dive, Ed Griffin's "The Creature from Jekyll Island."
This is not in support of tariffs per say as a permanent tool and am well aware of the ramifications. I do feel people's weak perception on how things work are what gets them believing what they hear on TV though.

I'd gladly pay $3,800 to make American less dependent on China. However, I worry about pissing off the rest of the world and crippling small business in America. Also, hoping this doesn't make China become more attractive to the rest of the world and alienate the US. I personally think this approach is a mistake.

Nothing new, inflation caused by trillions of new dollars flooding the market was already doing that.
Also using stocks as a pseudo savings account is just bad planning. You don't actually own your own stocks and in a failure, you are last in line for the money. Buying stocks only makes you a beneficiary, not something I'd want to risk.
