Fake gamer. So you play game for its fps of for its game?!
Sure in a console where the most games were running at 20-25fps.The 1st one run at 30 fps on the Consoles *rollseyes*
I sure do have a 4090 and?Don’t you claim to have a 4090?
<<<<Real gamer and in many situations the answer is YES.Fake gamer. So you play game for its fps of for its game?!

Any sort of console gamer knows that since the dawn of 3D cards the PC was the way to go if you want 60 FPS.Sure in a console where the most games were running at 20-25fps.
Poor console support is one of my reasons to skip yes.So you’re going to skip the game entirely because the console version is 30fps - despite dropping $1600 (maybe more) on the highest end PC Card?
LOL, fuck that. That's why it's good to have gaming PC, you don't have to be locked in 2005 standards.
That is a dumb assumption when there are like 2 or 3 games currently at 30fps in PS5 for example.Any sort of console gamer knows that since the dawn of 3D cards the PC was the way to go if you want 60 FPS.

People said the same thing one year ago with the second Plague tale release. So far there are not many 30fps only games but this number will get bigger sadly.
PS5 pro is coming near future, we should be able to get more 60fps game on pro at least. So far there are not many 30fps only games but this number will get bigger sadly.

Potentially, which is great! That being said, I'm convinced that the majority of developers will keep targeting 4K for consoles and unless they upgrade the CPU aspect of the chip I don't see more games getting higher frame rates. I imagine having two different CPUs will make development time even longer platform.PS5 pro is coming near future, we should be able to get more 60fps game on pro at least.
Well unless there are zero 30fps only games for the rest of this gen then this statement is of course true.So far there are not many 30fps only games but this number will get bigger sadly.

Does this mean that 30fps games only are the standard? Of course not.
And I can see that being the case for the vast majority of releases for the rest of this gen (certainly on PS5/Series X)So far they aren't, 30 fps is optional for most games but majority has performance modes.

Very true, and for PS5 we 'may' see first party games target 30-fps for standard PS5 and 60fps for Pro, but that is yet to be seen (or even confirmed if PS5 Pro is actually a thing and we certainly dont yet know the specs.)I hope so but we are ~45% into this gen so far and most of this was cross gen period. There is long time left.
Why would they drop their best selling console? that would be suicideA Pro-version according to the leaked specs for PS5 won't solve the 60fps problem for sure. Get used console folk, games are getting more demanding (especially in the CPU department), so this will be the norm moving forward unless you want tech and visuals to stagnate for the consoles.
I'm more interested on how much downgrade Series S will have moving forward or if Microsoft will drop it at some point. They already changed their parity policy, it's only a matter of time.
No half as dumb as trying to make out that Open world games run at 60 FPS in the PS2 era. Which seems to be the case for all the 60 FPS keyboard warriors these days. That is a dumb assumption when there are like 2 or 3 games currently at 30fps in PS5 for example.
60fps confirmed.Shpeshal Nick suggested the game is 30 fps
I think it still is.Wasn’t RDR2 30fps on launch?
With the OLED thing. Motion always has and will be a very subjective personal preference. Everybody has different tolerances and sensitivities to it. I feel 30fps on any modern TV be it decent LCD or OLED is an issue. We could do with some kind of low latency motion interpolation tbh. I dont know where Samsung are with it these days, but they were at one time at least trying to do just that.I've said it in another thread :
- The RE engine is already 1 generation old and is already long in the tooth.
RE7, DMC5, RE8, RE2RE and RE3RE looked good and ran at 60fps but you could already see its limitations : RE3RE lost the de-limb system due to a higher enemy count, RE8 stuttered in larger areas where lots of enemies were present and RE4RE had lots of graphical problems like shimmering/pixel crawling/muddy textures and framerate dips on consoles depending on the resolution mode and effects selected (hair strands/DOF/Motion blur/lens effect+CA etc) due to a higher enemy count present on the screen at any time compared to previous RE engine games.
- The engine powered all the aforementioned games which were mostly "room to room" affairs with loading in-between and has never been tested/used in such a large scale project.
Couple that with more advanced physics, even higher on-screen enemy/character count AND all the special effects (magician comes to mind ) and you can clearly understand why this can't run at 60fps on consoles.
Not that it matters to me since I won't be getting it right now, 70 Eurodollars for what appears to be Dragon's dogma 1.5 is too steep of a price for me, plus, the 30fps with heavy dips (judging from the videos) isn't helping.
This is a PC /PS5 Pro game IMO, and by the time the Pro comes out it'll be sold at 30 Eurodollars so that's a win-win.
PS: the 30fps OLED judder is a real thing, don't care/don't notice it ? Cool, Just stop trying to impose your opinion, many of us do in fact notice it and find it to be unplayable, personally, I get dizzy and that's not fun...
30fps is fine on a LED/LCD but to say that "I don't notice it/it's perfectly fine" when it comes to OLED is just personal opinion and not fact.
Cheers
It was and still is but that was on a PS4 and is arguably one of the best looking games of all time. This looks a bit mid to not offer a performance mode on PS5 and Series X unless we are reaching the time of the generation where 30fps is the standard. I personally will not play anything at 30fps anymore. I’m a proud frame rate snob now.Wasn’t RDR2 30fps on launch?
I have been ok with this since the N64.console gamers better get used to this. The days of cross gen games is over. More and more games will be 30fps only.
Yup, and it’s still amazing to look at in 4k@30 fps.Wasn’t RDR2 30fps on launch?
pretty normal 3600 is comparable to console CPUEven the PC minimum and recommended requirements are sus as hell. Just look at this lmao.
Estimated performance: 2160i/30fps. Framerate might drop in graphics-intensive scenes. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6800 required to support ray tracing.
Like tf is going on there lol!?
