S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl ⚠️|☢︎T|⚠️ Don't Be a Menace to Bloodsucker While Trying to Catch an Olive in The Zone

Is it me or there should be bigger hype than it is right now? No doubt it will sell well, im not even that big of a fun of this series but around 2020 i thought its most anticipated game world wide after cyberpunk. It's not only sequel to cult classic series but the fact it's true AAA single player FPS that its not named call of duty and its in production in years should generate big fuss in the industry but it's not the case currently? I hope it's just rare isntance of a big good game that will get massive traction soon after release when gamers realize good shit is back on the menu.

Aren't these games pretty light on story?

I thought watching a recap wasn't necessary but maybe i'm wrong.
They certainly have a story with it's twists and turns. Haven't played more than a bit of the first game so I can't tell how much there is to it sadly.

A recap might be a good idea.

the fact it's true AAA single player FPS
I dunno man. Sure it has MS behind it but the studio is small.

I've watched some early footage and it's slav jank certified, I wouldn't expect a high level of polish on release.

Nah, Stalker is just a big name on PC. Consoleros dont know it. Young people dont know it. Stalker was never AAA (thank god). Considering this....its doing very well imho.
Of course, it's literally top best selling game on steam right now, also console owners know that they cant be too picky of it comes to big console realeases right now, well in few hours will see if stalker devs delivered

I want to support the studio but I have to wait for reviews and see if it's for me. Haven't played the previous Stalker games. And it's on Game Pass too.

I don't know much about the Stalker games but I love the Metro series.

Does this sequel even have a storyline? Gone through googling and I couldn't find a single thing about the plot of this game.

Ha! This whole time in my mind I was thinking about going back to play the other Stalker games but I was thinking about Metro. Just realized that after reading your post. I forgot they were different series.

Just made preorder on Xbox, it's been a while when I last preordered something. But to be fair, this is probably only game that I'm 'waiting', so I'll let it slide even if there's a risk it's gonna be broken garbage at release. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Yes none of them are quoting the pre-order bonuses because they are not guaranteed and they don't have the info.
However they usually come with it as long as the key is dispatched before game release afaik.
Which is why i'd like to know if someone ordered through it 👌.

Why isn't there gameplay of this yet on youtube or anything? I saw it in store earlier today (NZ) so I figured someone would have at least shown some gameplay by now?

Reviews in a couple of hours right? If this scores above 70 ish I'm in.

Besides the obvious problems with “gaming journalists” scoring games, this one in particular is even a bit extra because of the political nature of the situation around it, so I’m not sure if it’s even allowed to fail, so you won’t get any representation of how good or bad it is from these reviews. Even if it’s actually bad, there will always be “but consider the dev’s circumstances” and then it’s all lost really.

User reviews is another matter, presumably less bias of any sort there, but that might take a while to aggregate.

Isn't it concerning for anyone else that reviews are coming this late? Reviews embargo only a couple hours before release doesn't inspire hope.

Just needs to be a good base of a game, i'm not particularly bothered about jank.

Confirmation of it not being a complete train wreck will be enough for me to get my hand in my pocket and support the dev's. The video above of the X version looked promising.

You're right though this will review a few points above probably were it should be due to the situation. Like I said 70's will be good enough for me to jump in.

I think it will be one of their best releases so I think we are safe from it being a complete mess at launch but we will see soon

Luckily i've got 1gb fibre at home, if i was stuck at work i'd be in another BLOPS situation and likely be waiting 2 weeks for the fucker to download. :)

Not really. Such a scenario doesn’t inherently correlate to: garbage. User reviews will be the only thing that I’m, “interested in” anyway, and those will take a while to properly formulate. I’ll be far too busy playing, in any case.

Tears of Nintendo
Call of Pripyat (although not without flaws) was easily the best game out of the first 3. They had plenty of time to reflect on what they did, look at what 4A did with Metro and make some right decisions to make a better game.

It'll be hard to judge the game knowing what happened over the last ~3 yrs and that they lost one of the devs cuz of war and Putin., that's for sure.

Four hours + installing from the dreadful Xbox Store which could take anywhere between hours or years depending on if the shit app will function correctly on your PC.

Gave up on GP a while ago, it just not worth the hassle.

Until MS sort out the useless xbox app then GP wont make any long term significant ground in that space.
