One of the few games Im really interested in.
Dunno if being Lord of the Rings hurts or helps it. Maybe if it were an offshoot of Dragon Age and published by ea it'd get more attention.
Sure, I always recommend to wait until a game is out so you can make an informed purchase.
I just wanted to counter the Molyneux comparison because he is known for talking and making up features mid-interview.
Monolith are showing the Nemesis system by just playing the game and based on that the Nemesis system is real enough. The question is just how much are the systems needed if you can mash your way to victory.
I thought hype threads were a no no.
Either way, I am interested in this game. But I am not setting my expectations too high. It is a LOTR game after all, and most of those have failed to live up to expectations (at least the ones I have played).

Huh. Didn't know this was open world. If I like the hobbit will I like this game? I mean, I haven't watched all the LOTR films but I have seen the Hobbit duo.
There hasn't been a great LotR game since Return of the King in 2003.
This doesn't compute for me. Neither of those games strike me as "open sandbox" style games. Is the game world structure similar to those or are there more apt comparisons?open sandbox style of a game like The Witcher or Dragon Age.

Yep.It screams Peter Molyneux hype.
You should really watch the LotR trilogy

Both Battle for Middle Earth games would like to have a stern word with you.
Getting this day one. Didn't know that the last gen version was being developed by another studio, neat.
What's there not to deliver, the Nemesis system? Everything else is pretty textbook.
Can't wait to play it - hope the combat is as satisfying as the prospect of the Nemesis system. Enjoyed the interview with Troy Baker as well as all of the trailers.
pre-ordered yesterday
I know man. I know. I want to so I will probably do it soon.
Fuck it. Maybe I will do it tonight...
Probably a good bet...this takes place between the Hobbit films and the LOTR films.Huh. Didn't know this was open world. If I like the hobbit will I like this game? I mean, I haven't watched all the LOTR films but I have seen the Hobbit duo.
OT: do you have a GTR?
Mine is a 2012 White Pearl Premium with some mods(Cobb, Custom tune, injectors,Meisterschaft Exhaust)
I'm getting about 625BHP at the wheels and ~10.6 secs at the 1/4 mile ^-^
The game is being developed for PS4, XB1, and PC. Another developer is handling the port for PS3 and 360. The last-gen versions will have reduced features and a lesser version of the Nemesis system, so there is no need to worry about the negatives of a "cross-gen" title here.
Sounds promising, but definitely waiting for reviews and user impressions on this one. Hope it turns out great.

Wrong thread?
I love The Hobbit films more than most, but the LotR trilogy are a class above. The best fantasy films of all time (except for Star Wars maybe)
