No if you actually see his videos you can see how weird he is with everything playstation. He's not professional at all.
Don't buy it. He has made many videos taking a dump on Xbox console games as well. The guy is a PC elitist and has no real history with consoles. I'm not saying that makes it ok for him to be snobbish when it comes to consoles, but the guy is clearly been spoiled with top tier hardware for far too long and he doesn't have nostalgic attachment or respect for console hardware.

Why does the PSN deluxe edition say it unlocks 11PM CST 10/7/24 on the store page??? Shouldn't it be 10/5/24 since it's supposed to be 48 hours early access? It's stopping me from buying it...the steam version is right afaik when it says 1 day and 7 hours so I don't know why PSN can't get it right. That's a big difference.

Steam says the deluxe releases Saturday night into Sunday (one day and 7 or so hours from now) which is good for sales.

PSN says it releases 10/7/24 at 11 PM CST (Late Sunday night???) which is absolutely stupid/bad for sales. Who is going to buy the game late Sunday night as opposed to just waiting for Tuesday for the normal release?

And really both are dumb as it should just release on a Friday night if they want better sales...

This is what my PS5 says. I got the deluxe edition. 🤷‍♂️

So if this does sell well we are pretty much guaranted more SH remakes by Bloober no?
I would imagine the psychological effect of a good redemption story word of mouth will boost sales too. Similar effect as HD2 surprising everyone earlier this year.

I'd prefer an original entry

2 day early access if you went Deluxe. Still says 7th for me but I think it should unlock tomorrow. It better.

Thinking about it now, clearly they knew they nailed it and that it would review well. They played on FOMO for peoples to play during a weekend, or wait... monday.

They'll make money on this strategy.

I just watched a video review from a few YouTubers and this game looks phenomenal to me. Looks like a very faithful remake but beautifully recreated. I hope they give the first game a go next

Reminds me of how much they used the Silent Hill 2 OST in the films. You’ll listen to it until you memorize every track. Best part, it’s all harmony. This was before Mary Elizabeth McGlynn appeared on all the OST’s too.

I've been playing it on PS5, just an hour or so and so far:

The gameplay is fluid, the combat very action oriented.

The atmosphere is perfect. The city and the environment are exactly how I imagined Silent Hill in HD

Good graphics, but a bit unstable in performance mode. Graphics mode is slightly better but only marginally, so performance mode for me.

The ray tracing reflections are super low res and noisy. I'm curious to see this game on the Pro

I don’t think there’s any ray tracing on performance mode.

Any info on HDR support?

Play it on PS5 PRO, Quality at 60fps with better lighting; problem solved !
Luca_29_bg, the quintessential 'average Italian' with absolutely nothing to say. His idea of deep conversation? Spamming emojis like a one-year-old who hasn’t quite figured out this whole 'words' thing yet.

The reflections seem ray traced to me, in both modes. They are fairly accurate, so no cubemaps, and they stay on screen even whne what's reflected is not, so no SSR. They're also really noisy. Not sure what else it could be.

Any info on HDR support?
The game has HDR support and several options to fine tune it.

Do we have the forum version of Umarell ;)?

Italians love hating each other almost as much as hating foreigners that criticise us (so what did Luca did lol? Come on…) :D.
Classic:

Comment I got from a friend: “it was such hit they remastered it, Can t let the audio quality ruin a good song about hatred!” 😂.

Nothing wrong, except for his completely pointless existence here. I honestly don’t think a single post from him has ever made logical sense, unless 'spam' or 'trolling' with baby-level emojis counts as meaningful content. Every comment? An attempt to annoy. People like him have one mission in life: to be a nuisance, utterly incapable of real communication. I’m convinced this guy couldn’t write in English even if he had Google Translate as his personal assistant.

Thank you for the information.

I just rushed through Until Dawn—long night, but an absolute masterpiece.

Tomorrow, I'll start this in Quality mode. These are my last OG PS5 games, as the console is headed straight to the garbage bin.

All future playthroughs will be on the PlayStation 5 Pro.
